Let me guess, something exploded and life as we know it came to be? For some reason, anything that might be said will be harder to believe than the truth.

I just love this question. You have no proof whatsoever how life started and neither does anyone else.

I do not need an explanation and anything I said you would not agree with. Other then that we are here. That's the only thing I know for sure. I don't need an explanation for the fact I exist. I do, and that is what matters.

Yo renny. You should check out ex-christians.com. It's a web site devoted to christians who became atheists. Quite a lot of them there.

Any explanation is (relatively speaking) exponentially more likely than a supreme intelligence/complexity existing at the very beginning. Explaining where THAT came from is inifinitely harder than explaining the origin of the universe itself.

Is an "athiest" the person who is the most athi?

Something exploded and life came to be? Where did you get that line of garbage?

It's almost as silly as God picked up dust and it came alive.

If you honestly want an explanation, you need to read about it in a science book. There is not enough room here. But I suspect that you are simply trolling.

This is not a question. You state you know the 'truth' already. When you have a question, let me know.

But here's one for you. Divine intervention. The belief that God answers prayers. If God does answer prayers and heal people intermittantly, why has he/she never healed someone who's legs have been cut off? Is this beyond the capability of God? It would be irrefutable, don't cha think?

you don't need to have an explanation to be an atheist. To be an atheist, you simply have to not believe in God.

For me, life came about when a pool of chemical compounds came together in a puddle somewhere to create a sort of proto-dna. that evolved into DNA and then that evolved into a simple one-celled organism. And so on...
If you consider how long a million years is, then it might seem possible that this "unlikely" series of events could have occurred.

dumbass.

I didn't know that our existence was a fact. Some philosophies and religions say that we do NOT exist. Christian Scientists, for example, believe we are spirit beings only.

So before you use existence as proof of God, you will have to prove existence.

Goodness, Im afraid to say anything on here now since I had a bunch of answers deleted. If you are atheist on here you risk that.

Existence does not imply a God. You are only shifting the argument. So now you have a God, now you have to explain how God came into being.

According to your belief system, we might as well assume the Leprechauns created mankind's existence.

If we haven't punctuated every bit of knowledge available, you are willing to assign creation to a God without any evidence other than writings from pre-civilized man.

One day Science will provided more than enough answers, but until that day, we are condemned to hear billybob's interpretation of the existence of mankind as provided by his illiterate parents, or his tithe collecting preacher.

Why on earth would you try and assign existence to tradition?

No,
It took about 14 billion years.

It would seem that you have problems counting past 10 without taking your shoes off, so I doubt that you can even begin to contemplate how long that really is.

The rest you have doubtless been told dozens of times before. It would be pointless to tell you again.
