No, no, no, no, no/ What I'm talking about is the people who don't even look at the answers but still mark them bad.

Who says what is defined as a 'bad' or 'good' answer except by those reading them? An opinion is what is called for with only two options to choose from.

Sometimes you will agree with their opinion & sometimes you won't. Same for them.

BTW, how do you know that they are marking them bad without reading them?

that is funny, there is someone out there that makes sure I have at least 4 thumbs down for almost every answer I give, but I still get BEST ANSWERS ! LOL

I must say, I know some of my answers are going to get thumbs down and why. But sometimes I cannot figure out why. What I said was the truth. The truth hurts so they thumb me down. I usually only thumb down when the answers is being mean to someone or some religion or non religion. Or they really didn't try to answer the question.
As in the above answer.

I don't use the term "hate" that loosely, but I must admit that's not playing fair, and I find it annoying. Still, there does not seem to be any way to stop a person doing that, short of perhaps creating a limit on the number of thumbs down per day. That wouldn't stop them, but it might slow them down, make them realize they must be a little discriminating in the use of the thumbs down function.

I know! Most of the time, I'm in cultures and groups, and it's the racists that are going down the list marking all the reasonable (i.e., non racial/against racism) posts with a thumbs down, though, so I usually don't pay them any attention.

I don't hate them but I'm not sure why they do it. So what if you don't like the question or that people are giving their opinions. I think they are control freaks though.

Yes, I hate them. My answer was good. Everybody on the question got thumbs down from that guy. Does it affect your score?

It slighty niggles me when it happens on opinion based questions, ok so my OPINION is wrong.

I'ts counterbalanced by the fact someone bothered.

I don't hate anybody, but that is so petty, and childish. What a waste of time.
