No, they really don't.

I'm an atheist, and I can tell you that deep down inside me, I have no belief in any gods.

If a god was obvious, then how come it would be "deep down"? If your god were so obvious, then where is he? Surely something so obvious would have more evidence to support its existence.

Actually, the truth is that believers really deep down inside KNOW that there is no God, but they won't admit it because they are afraid that their friends (who also pretend to actually BELIEVE in an invisible, magical, super-being in the sky) will reject them. They'd rather live a life of conscientious delusion than admit the obvious.

No. I just think that they are not quite as convinced of their position as they would have you believe. That is why they insist on trying to convert people to their religion. If they were content in their disbelief that would be content letting believers believe and go talk about godless subjects elsewhere.

It's tough to ignore the obvious by yourself. If you can bury yourself in arguments and create a large enough support group you can establish an atheist herd mentality who continually support and encourage each other in their nonsensical claims.

When group think is established you can even convince yourself that someone arose from the dead.

Ignorant and uneducated comment. Only to be expected from thoroughly brain washed and rinsed Theists.

We do not believe in your silly spooky invisible creatures.

"maybe whilst theism turns into well-known lower back you hipsters will relatively commence loving Jesus Christ such as you would be." in case you knew me in genuine life, you would be able to relatively fathom the depths of hilarity contained in that fact. in case you weren't a fundie, then the be conscious "would" in the previous sentence might get replaced to "might incredibly".

Nope, not at all.

It is interesting. There are theists who make this claim all of the time. They never base it on fact. They just say it and expect everyone to consider it true. I guess that is just how they are used to operating.
