Well, considering that is where the umbilical is connected, they shouldn't have, but all the pics show them with, so I suppose that is another proof of the falsity. Thanks for pointing it out!

Honey, I think this has been answered before but, from my studies of the Bible, this is what I believe: Adam did not have a navel because he was created by God. Eve needed the navel because of pregnancy with the children that God blessed them with. I may be wrong about Adam's, and others may say I'm wrong about both of them. From my studies, I believe I'm right and that's what's important to me.

Well, I'm quick to say that they couldn't have because they weren't born from a human but....at the same time:

There are parts of our bodies that we once used for a specific reason, that we do not any more. We never know if there once was (over 2k years ago) another purpose for belly buttons. Take the apendix for example, we can't figure out why we need it and we really can live without it so where did that come from?

I hope I'm making sense here! :) Awesome question though, because I would never have thought to ask something like that.

No, they did not.

This is hard to believe, but I have a friend without a navel. When he was born, his stomach was formed outside of his body. When the doctors repaired the problem, he was left with a vertical scar up his abdomen, but w/o a navel.

That depends on how you look at it. As they were created, no. But God may have wanted their children to not ask why they were different than daddy and mommy so he gave them a little poke in the belly. I'm not saying He did this.

My point is that it really doesn't matter in the over-all things of life if they did or not. I, personally, don't think they did.

Technically they wouldn't have had navels given that neither was born of woman. However, if you think about it, Adam was Eves mother. Doesn' that mess with your head?

I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

Obviously not, they weren't birthed, they were poofed onto earth. Navels are proof that you were birthed because that is where the umbilical cord was attached to keep you alive with nutrients/food inside your mothers womb.
Buuut religious people are crazy so of course they're gonna say they did.

If they were created straight from dirt then there is no need for a navel which is leftovers of an imbilical cord of a fetus for survival.

Adam and Eve was a story made up by the church to control their followers. It's about obeying Gods (the church leaders) commands and if you don't obey, the trouble you will be in by the church leaders (God). But God really has nothing to do with this story.

Adam and Eve were fiction.

I say yes. We were ALL made in Gods image. I have a navel, do you? Bet God does too!
