I was raised Catholic. I was brought up to believe in going to church on every Sunday. But as I am older now, I rarely go to church, except on holidays like Easter and Christmas.
I still believe in God, Jesus, the Bible, everything that Catholics and Christians believe in. I pray to God every night and throught the day. But I do not know if I believe in Church anymore. The Catholic Church has changed since I was a child. It has become more modern and I don't like it. Do you think it is a sin for not going to church? Do you think God thinks it is a sin?

I rarely see a new point in the theist/atheist debate. Even those I see are usually attributed to people who lived and died before I was born. Is there anything left to contribute to this debate, or might there be something important in the future?

Ha we are anything but boring, you wanna live on the edge? try jumping into a life of unending mystery and excitment. As a christian and living for god, I get to wake up every morning knowing that he has something HUGE in store for me, even tho i dont know exactly what it is, its a rush knowing that today could be the day it happens. And weird stuff happens everyday in my life, EVERY DAY. Some call them coincedences I call them god things. Regardless, its cool and mysterious and interseting and fascinating and ANYTHING but boring, AND im christian SO IN YOUR FACE HATERS. And for those of you who believe living on the edge consists of getting drunk and doing lord knows what on the weekends (Iv'e totally been there)...well i have news for you, If its not old already, it's gonna get there and just know if you really want to step it up a notch, GOD is always there, and hes free, so you can stop spending your money on illegal substances or whatever else you pay for to have fun...GODBLESS*

First off I know this is on the R&S forum. Part of this is b/c anytime you write "God" you go there. The other is that I'm aiming to get some Christian points of view. With all due respect, please spare me the "God blesses" and "God even loves you's".

I want all of you to know I am NOT offended by your religion. It's great that you found something that fills your day to day life with joy and I respect it but damn, can't you talk about something else?

It's always: because God loves us all or we are his children or because Jesus died for our sins, or God is great, etc.

As an agnostic, getting responses to my questions like, "it's because God is so perfect" just doesn't ring with me and I know I am not alone.

I'm a good guy, but I don't believe in god or any form of an afterlife really. I don't believe that jesus was the messiah. I love my family and friends and treat people the way that they want to be teated. But I'm still going to hell aren't I?

Okay i have an ex gf who basically cut her mother off from any communication with her and her baby, but the mother always was there for my ex gf. Now will she have any good luck because apparently she calls another woman her mother but she really isnt her mother and she feels she dont need her real mother. Now will it come a day when she will need her real mother and thou shall honor your mother.

the experiment was conducted in a closed environment with very little replication of earth's environment at that time. Also, they did not produce life, did not produce amino acids, but produced a few building blocks which could have possibly, maybe turned into amino acids, which could have turned into life. And years later science has evolved and many critcize this experiment and show its many flaws. Is this the best evolutionists/atheists can come up with? They constantly bash christianity, yet this half-@ssed science experiment from the 50s is the cream of the crop for these people? Fact is, 99.99% of atheists/evolutionists probably cannot explain the experiment or what it proved and 75% probably never heard of it before. Right now that flying spaghetti monster looks more appealing than their creation of life theory.

I was listening to this am gospel talk show one evening on my way to work. And the host accepts calls from listeners. One listener called in and asked if Juanita Bynum was a true profit. The host of the show stated that Juanita Bynum is a false profit and that what she is doing is outright blasphamy.
I watch Juanita Bynum every now and then and listen to her profetic speakings about how God has told her to tell people to give so much money to do whatever.
I personally have no idea if she is false or not but I don't feel that its my place to make that judgement. My pastor has warned our church against speaking negatively against a man or woman of God. He says that it is God's place only to judge someone whether they are right or wrong. If this host feels this way about her, why not just say I don't agree with her teachings. Isn't it wrong to speak negative against someone who may very well be receiving instructions from the Lord?

I am wondering what type of person you are. (Generally I am not asking if you are this way 100% of the time, but in most cases)
Are you someone who trusts until you are given a reason not to?
Or someone who doesn't trust until you are given a reason so?
If you would be kind enough please state your faith/lack there of.
