Life starts at conception. The point at which that conception becomes a soul is not known. We do know, however, that John the Baptist recognized Jesus Christ while both were yet in the womb. John the Baptist was about 6 months older than Jesus. So, I would have to say that the soul does exist very shortly after conception.

There is no such thing as a soul. It's an old term used for the psych. The spirit enters the body around the 21st day. I'm pretty sure this will get a thumbs down.

Well considering about 1/3 of zygotes miscarry naturally, I certainly hope not......and when the zygote splits into twins, do they have to send for a new soul? And when one zygote absorbs another, do the two cells duke it out mano a mano?

There is no evidence of any kind that there is any such thing as a "soul." There is a ton of evidence that every human's perception of self resides entirely in the physical brain, and nothing else. While the brain is alive and functioning, there is a "you." When the brain is dead or damaged, there is no "you." It's that simple.

According to anti-abortionist's, God is omniscient, so yes. Now, remember that every time you see a disabled person or handi-capped or when someone is atheist or anything that will 'burn in Hell'. Just remember our 'loving' father knew and stil created. I guess he wants to be sure that some suffer. After all, what loving parent doesn't want to eternally punish their child?

To preface, I'm not Christian, but I personally feel that the souls "hovers" until the fetus is viable, and enters the fetus during labor.

No, the soul is eternal, and exists before conception and after death.

There is no such thing as a soul, if you mean something which is in any way distinguishable from other facets of one's physical existence.
