I've noticed that Regulars like Laptop Jesus, Acid zebra, CJunk, Jim Darwin and sometimes Sho-nuff Get thumbs up more than others, regardless what their answer is, they also get tons more answers for every question they post.

Why do you suppose that is?

In Mark 9:46, Jesus Christ says about Hell: "Where THEIR WORM dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

Jesus said explicitly — THEIR worm — not a worm, or the worm — but THEIR worm.

Only those in Hell would know, but what do you think this could be?

Are there any scientists here that believe in a divine being of any sort? Doesn't matter if you are Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc.

I'm looking for scientists in the mainstream sense. That includes the physical and life sciences. While I can't "limit" the respondents here, examples of who I'd like responses from are people (examples in the American educational system) who hold BSs, MSs, or PhDs in a traditionally scientific field of inquiry. MDs, I suppose, could also count although I'm unsure of the fundamental training (as opposed to practical application) MDs have in the basic sciences.

Would you follow the Bible, or would you follow the doctrine taught by your "church leaders"? If the Bible said your belief was wrong, would you repent even though your church taught that the belief was right?
Jesus said he has "all authority" and the apostles were to teach the things he had commanded (Matt 28:18-19). I guess my question is, would you follow the things Christ and the apostles taught or would you continue in a doctrine that contradicted it?

Do you picture streets of gold and mansions on clouds? Do you picture physical bodies with every need being satisfied? Or do you picture something completely abstract? (such as being absorbed into God as little finite elements of his vastness as he continues creation)

For non theists...I know you can quickly say "there is no heaven" but just suppose there was a heaven ... If you did believe in heaven what would it be like?

Knowing that friends and family members will be burning somewhere in hell?

Some will say that because of "free will" they made their choice and have to live with it right? That doesn't explain how you will could enjoy heaven. My friends have free will, they make mistakes, it doesn't mean I write them off or care any less about their pain just because it is self inflicted.

If you truly care about people, don't you worry that your time in heaven will be spoiled by the knowledge that your friends are in excrutiating pain and suffering? Or doesn't that matter?

2 Samuel: 14
27 And unto Absalom (there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar): she was a woman of a fair countenance.

2 Samuel: 18
18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, (I have no son) to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.

2 Chronicles: 11
20 And after her he took (Maachah the daughter of Absalom); which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith

Now the questions:
How many sons did Absalom have?
Who's Machaah's father?

Would you agree that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are hated just as much as non-believers by right wing extremist Christian wackos? I’m not talking the Christians that live their religion as best they can and have love for their fellow man. I’m talking about those Christians that tell everyone they’re going to hell and are extremely judgmental. Y’know, the ones that give Christendom a bad name.

No hateful answers please, this is a serious question. I am wondering if non-Mormons see the attacks towards Mormons as much as a Mormon does.

does that mean that the missing link between man and ape really is black people? Or was that just the one tiny area of his theory that isn't correct? Don't evolutionists gloss on aspects of Darwin's theory they don't like, while claiming at the exact same time that Christians do this with the Bible? An inconvenient truth?
