Sure sounds dissappointing. But where would they go instead?

Making the assumption that you are an Atheist:

If there isn't a heaven or hell then we'll just rot like anyone else, and in that case I doubt if anyone will care very much.

And if we ALL rot together, how will that be justice for you?

And for as for this comment:
"It's too bad that hell doesn't exist either, because the real justice would be if Christians were sent there, to punish them all the harm that they do to the world"

Exactly what have "I" personally done to the world? Any harm I personally do I try to take responsibility for. So, tell me, what harm have I personally done to the world?

And no, I don't consider myself responsible for the crusades or the witch-burnings (in fact according to my actual beliefs I would have been burned far sooner than anyone else). Any more than I consider every white person responsible for the torture, and enslaving of my ancestors.

If Christians didn't go to heaven like they assume they will, then it would mean there wasn't an after like, our souls would just be dark, empty and unknowing like when they put you out for an operation..It wouldn't cause anyone any grief they wouldn't know it. on the other hand, what if ALL those people out there saying there is no god, heaven or judgemeant day found out after death that there was a heaven? This ment there was a after life and heaven AND HELL !!!! They sure would be in a world of hurt wouldn't they? It doesn't hurt to believe in something good....

If christians look down on those that are non-believers then i would agree that it is sweet justice. However if they believe in god but do not try to impose their faith upon others and are a really good person then in my eyes it is not sweet justice. If there were truly a heaven then people that are good deserve to go there, regardless of their religous belief.

I do not worry about where I will go when my time has come, because I know it will be to Heaven. The Bible tells of a place so sweet and peaceful where the streets are paved in Gold and there are no more tears. If there is no God and you have faith than you lost nothing since there is a God and you don't have faith than you've lost everything. Just keep that in mind.

According to the bible, no one goes to heaven until after judgement. What happens to the spirit until then? Assuming we are spiritual beings, and the bible is God's Truth, and heaven truly exists - then the only way they wouldn't go to heaven, is if they weren't 'saved'. This could be considered 'sweet justice' by someone who maybe doesn't like christianity and the ideals that it holds to, or maybe it could be considered sweet justice by someone who doesn't like 'believers' and their strength to stand up for believing in God and Jesus and their story in the bible. Maybe 'sweet justice' is for a back-slidden christian who is not liked anymore, and you'd like to know that their hopes for the New Kingdom are dashed, God knew believers would be faced by the harshness of the non-believers and told them be strong against them, stand fast in the faith, 1 Thessalonians 4:14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.

They will experience whatever afterlife they are expecting. Now seeing how a vast majority of them believe that they are not worthy of heaven and are deserving of hell and that hell seems to be the afterlife they put the most thought and energy into visualizing...well..

Here's a joke for you: "A Heathen dies. After walking along a road for a while, he comes to a fiery place filled with smoke, stench and horrible screaming, and recognizes several Christians writhing in the flames. He exclaims, "No **** ! So the Christians were right,
and I´m going to Hell !" "Don´t you worry", said a valkyrie riding by. "Asgard is just round the bend of the road.
This is Muspellheim and its fire-thurses... we try to accommodate everyone !"

I can assure you that they don't go to heaven because there is no such place.

It's too bad that hell doesn't exist either, because the real justice would be if Christians were sent there, to punish them all the harm that they do to the world.

I had a conversation once with a pasture and he told me that because I don't go to church on a regular basis then i'll go to hell. When I asked him what if he was wrong about everything he was convinced that he was right and only christians will go to heaven i couldn't convince him that maybe just maybe he would go to hell. It would be really funny if christians don't go to heaven.

Nah, we most likely will all end up in the same place. They will just wonder where the hell God is and why heaven looks so funny.
