That is a fascinating question. Most people believe that their church follows the Bible. Yet have you ever noticed how many "Bible-based" Christian churches contradict each other? Even sitting in the pews, we may find people of the same religion who are poles apart in doctrine and practices.
And how many responses do you suppose you will receive where posters are saying that this is something "so and so" ought to answer? Perhaps a few.
In response to your question, I would follow the scriptures – after I had determined that it is the inspired word of God.

I would follow the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God. Pastors are merely men that could have misinterpreted the Bible. If I truly believed the wrong teachings while knowing it was wrong, I would repent, ask for forgiveness from God, and leave that church.

i assume that i'm in simple terms no longer information how somebody could desire to no longer get the observe of God out of the Mass. in the time of the Liturgy of the observe, there are 3 readings: the 1st is frequently from the old testomony, the 2nd will regularly be from an epistle, and the 0.33 is often from between the Gospels. you are able to no longer choose the quantity that folk could desire to be getting out of a clergyman's homily or a pastor's sermon based upon how long this is. in simple terms because of the fact a clergyman's homily is shorter does no longer advise that it would not of course stick to the Gospel message to existence and help the contributors of the congregation to stay their faith. God Bless! EDIT: @sylvia c: The Church does prepare the Bible and encourages all Catholics to take trip to examine Scripture. the place absolutely everyone gets an concept to the different, i'm no longer able to determine it out.

I love your question. I am about to get fired up now. I believe in Sola scriptura. Which means only the bible. Church leaders are suppose to teach from the Bible. They were not there from the beggining. If I belived something that was not supported in the Bible I would change my beliefe to what the Bible teaches. To believe extrabiblical teaching needs to be weighed on if it aggres with the spirit of GOD. Like for example. The Bible does not specify if we should be totally imersed in water when we are babtized or sprinkled with water. Something like that is of Choice. I had a great bible teacher tell me. Where the Bible speaks we are allowed to speak. Where the Bible is silent we need to be silent. I would not want to add anything to the word of GOD.

One has to follow the authorities. Great authorities should be followed; otherwise, if we simply depend on the scriptures, we cannot understand or follow the different spiritual injunctions. But some times or most of the time, we are misled by rascals. The leader has to stick with the scriptures and not speculate.

Of course, God's word.
This did happen to me. Seventh Day Adventists believe in the trinity. This made no sense to me at all. So I left and became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. What we teach is bible truths. We use God's word, the holy bible when we teach others the truth. We will even use your own personal bible if you prefer.
My father and me are not the same peson. I am his son. Two seperate individuals.
We were made in His image. This is not confusing. God is not confusing nor his ways!
The Bible tells us that God said: “Let us make man.” (Genesis 1:26) Do you know whom God was talking to?— He was talking to his Son. He was talking to the one who later came to earth and became Jesus.
Isn’t that exciting? Just think! When we listen to Jesus, we are being taught by the one who was with God when God made the earth and all other things. Jesus learned much from working with his Father in heaven. No wonder Jesus is the Great Teacher!

The Bible and Christ. However, the Bible instructs us to gather with other believers.
Churches are run by imperfect men, so there is no perfectly correct one. We do not abandon them because they are not perfect.
