I'm a good guy, but I don't believe in god or any form of an afterlife really. I don't believe that jesus was the messiah. I love my family and friends and treat people the way that they want to be teated. But I'm still going to hell aren't I?

No, you're not. A mere 6' under is hardly deep enough to reach the molten extremities of earth's core. You will probably decompose like every other living organism on the planet (unless you've been mummified), but take heart.....in your passing, you will be providing life giving nutrients for a variety of plants, worms, insects and arthropods. Now THAT'S something to feel good about!

I cant say for sure but what i can say is that Im certain as to where im going, i know this because i believe in the bible and have had personal experiences that have tied in word for word, to what the bibles teaches. I am going to Heaven because i have accepted jesus into my heart & it feels great to have that sense of security.
If your questioning your afterlife, i would begin to search deeper for something that might have that answer. If you want to know for sure maybe you should read into the christian beliefs and why we feel so sure about heaven. From there you can probably make a better decision as to why you do no believe or possibly even decide that christianity is the way of life. Im only 17 and taking advice from a teenage probably sounds insane, but im bestfriends with god and wisdom is something hes kindly blessed me with...PEACE LOVE AND ROCK N ROLL my friend! good luck to you!

God accepts people who fear HIM and those who do works of righteousness. He accepts them no matter what church they go to.
However He sends religious leaders to Hell in the same places that murderers and thieves and liars go, if that they never repent.

while it is true Jesus said if people dont believe they are damned already, a half a second in heaven will make anyone, a good person, for sure, a believer. I would be sent to hell before you would in most circumstances. But then again If anyone does end up in hell, all they have to do is call upon the name of Jesus christ and they will be saved.
If that doesnt do it for you, the mormons will come to you in hell and do their missionary work and you will be saved if you happen to come to believe.

Well, why are you worried about Hell if you don't believe in God or an afterlife?

Maybe you want to believe more than you let yourself think.

Yep....according to Christian beliefs, your morals are only good enough to get you out of going to heaven. In order to get into heaven, you must deny all you have learned in school, college and life and give your full faith to the Bible. Once you are able to do that and believe fully in Jesus, then you can go to heaven. Unfortunately your morals and good works towards mankind mean nothing.

This is yet another reason to disregard religious beliefs and continue being a good moral agnostic/atheist.

nicely, i do sense that it really is senseless to say "hell" in maximum circumstances..AND all individuals individuals do no longer do it. Its very generalizing. i'm American and we are no longer ALL about John Wayne. That turned right into a lengthy time period in the past and not at all in this era. we do not all journey horses and shoot bow and arrow. it really is an previous stereo type of people. Its type of conserving all Brits have undesirable tooth..no longer all Brits have undesirable tooth.. i assume a small inhabitants does..yet no longer ALL.

In the Bible, Mark 10:17-22 talks about how good works can't save you. The only way to heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ as savior and Lord of your life. In the Bible Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the father but through me." No one can go to heaven unless they believe in Jesus. To accept him as Savior means that you admit that he died on the cross for your sins. Sorry to say, but in Romans 3:23 it says, "For all have sinned" That means I've sinned and youv'e sinned. The whole world has sinned. And the punishment for sin is death and living in torment in hell for eternity. The only way to be saved it to accept Jesus and admit that you are a sinner. To accept him as Lord means that you are willing to admit that he rose from the dead to prove to us that he is God. If you would like more information on this, read the book of John in the Bible.

well, yes you are going to hell according to christians. i don't think that you are going to hell. you should relax and enjoy life without worrying about the afterlife because it doesn't exist. i think if christians lived the way that you described, the world would be a better place to a certain degree

Angel! You may accept Jesus as your personal savior all you want but Jesus says the way to salvation is to Love God and love each other. It's impossible to love God if you don't show love to each other,,,thus, Love of God and each other goes together.
Jesus said, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.
Try as I may, I can't find where Jesus says that you must accept him as your personal savior...whatever this means.
If an atheist do not believe in Jesus but show love and compassion to others, he can be saved. (Its written in the New Testament...if you can read.)
If a Christian goes to church 7 days a week but does not exhibit love for each other, he will be condemned.

In order to go to heaven one must repent of his sins and ask Jesus to be his personal savior. Jesus is the Messiah.
