First off I know this is on the R&S forum. Part of this is b/c anytime you write "God" you go there. The other is that I'm aiming to get some Christian points of view. With all due respect, please spare me the "God blesses" and "God even loves you's".

I want all of you to know I am NOT offended by your religion. It's great that you found something that fills your day to day life with joy and I respect it but damn, can't you talk about something else?

It's always: because God loves us all or we are his children or because Jesus died for our sins, or God is great, etc.

As an agnostic, getting responses to my questions like, "it's because God is so perfect" just doesn't ring with me and I know I am not alone.

It's not that I get peeved that they always talk about god, but the fact that they're trying to cram it down my throat and tell me that I'm wrong because of what I do or don't believe and they're way is the only right way.
That's what annoys me.

agnostic: From Greek prefix a-, not, + gnostic, knowing
One who believes that the answer to the question of whether a God or gods exist is unknowable.

athiest: from Greek άθεος atheos "godless, denying the gods", from α- a- "without" + θεός theos "a god"
A person who denies or disbelieves the existence of deities.

Just thought you'd appreciate the difference.

... and why do you keep posting this question... get over it... people love God... I don't go around saying- Why do the atheist's always deny God... God doesn't exist this, God doesn't exist that... this question is tiresome, Why do the athiests always have to use profanity when they explain something... d**n this and d**n that...

So... if you know this is the R&S forum, and you're tired of all the references to God, what are you doing here? Isn't that like complaining about seeing nothing but hardware in a Home Depot?

After careful consideration, the most appropriate response I can think of is:

Waaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

to a certain degree it annoys me. they would be lessed stressed if they took responsibility for their actions or outcomes instead of saying "god wanted it to be this way" or "god healed them of their cancer" afdjldfajklfdasjklfajkfdsajkldfaskl

Do you have anything in your life that you enjoy talking about even when others don't want to hear it?
