Some claim the Jews while others claim it was the Romans.

The Jews called for Jesus' death over Barabbas but the Romans drove the nails through the hands and feet of Jesus and carried out the crucifixion.

Before you say the Romans were merely respecting the Jews request, please consider the fact that the Romans often took it upon themselves to override Jewish laws and customs. Although the Jews might have called for the death of Jesus, Pontius Pilate had the authority to override their voice. Even Pontius Pilate claimed that he saw no wrong in this man.

If you believe the Jews are responsible for the death of Christ, please consider the fact that the Pharisees and Sadducees were responsible for calling for the crucifixion and might not have been representative of the Jewish people. Much like today's politicians don't reflect the thoughts of the people.

All things considered, who crucified Christ?

How much is too much.
If I go to McDonald’s and get a “regular” size meal, I’m pretty sure I’ll be okay.
But if I super-size the meal, does that mean that I’m doom to hell.
It’s one thing to eat my way to an early grave...but to eat my way to hell, not cool!!!
Any ideas???

What is it that makes you believe your religion is the correct religion and that all other religions are wrong? Over 300 religions in this world, the majority have holy books and many have virgin births and resurrections. How can any of you be confident in your own religion?

Please dont give remarks such as; 'my religion was shown to man by God' - many religions supposedly have.

Critiquing his own work? Doesn't every soul that burns in hell relfect badly upon him, being as he created it in the first place, programming it's capabilities into it from day one? It's like building a machine that won't work for you--if you built a boat that wouldn't float, would the boat be the failure or you, yourself? If God wasn't a failure, would hell exist?

It would seem that no honest scholar could believe such revisionism, as every ancient Scriptural manuscript is consistent in teaching that Isaac was the child to be sacrificed.

To those who are not Christians:

Many say us Christians are quick to judge and condemn. How can you say this is it is you judging us in the first place? (Believe me, I really am not trying to be judgmental, I'd just like to know.)

I really great guy I know from work has mentioned that I should come over to his place to discuss bible stuff, or alternately check out his Kingdom Hall. He mentioned a few things about the advantages that they have. He said that all their members can rest assured that they are marrying virgin females, who (the ladies) are unspoilt and will stay devoted (I told him that this didn't matter to me since I hadn't been "pure" since youth and didn't expect that in my fiance').

Are there some advantages to being in the Witnesses' faith? Would I be getting into a cult? I already told this guy that I wasn't really prepared to have more rules in my life.

I feel I wont have a good life from now on because of my age. I am not 18, 20, 25 any more. not even 30. I feel old for all this. How can I motivate myself?

I frequently see christians say that, if there is no god, then there's no reason to obey any laws - they might as well "have fun" do as they please, no matter who gets hurt.
Now, I have no reason to doubt that those who say this are being honest. But do you feel that most christians agree that their belief in god is the only thing that holds back their pathological behaviors?

As with everything I ask, this is purely out of curiosity.

If God appeared to you tonight and said that He needed you in His Kingdom right now and that was what He would really wish you to chose BUT you had the choice to stay with your family until you died a more timely death as a very old person what would you do? An explaination of your thought process would be nice too.
