Some claim the Jews while others claim it was the Romans.
The Jews called for Jesus' death over Barabbas but the Romans drove the nails through the hands and feet of Jesus and carried out the crucifixion.
Before you say the Romans were merely respecting the Jews request, please consider the fact that the Romans often took it upon themselves to override Jewish laws and customs. Although the Jews might have called for the death of Jesus, Pontius Pilate had the authority to override their voice. Even Pontius Pilate claimed that he saw no wrong in this man.
If you believe the Jews are responsible for the death of Christ, please consider the fact that the Pharisees and Sadducees were responsible for calling for the crucifixion and might not have been representative of the Jewish people. Much like today's politicians don't reflect the thoughts of the people.
All things considered, who crucified Christ?

I did. It was my sin that put him there. It was HIS love that kept Him there. And it was Gods' power that raised Him on the third day.

The Romans achieved him for treason. He replace into intentionally set as much as get caught by skill of the Jews. The Romans motivations have been that claiming to be king is tough the authority of Caesar and that they might have none of that. The Jews motivations have been understanding that if Jesus starts a revolt, the Romans would ruthlessly cull it and weigh down each and all of the Jews interior the section thoroughly. as quickly as I say the Jews I recommend the Jewish leaders of that ingredient, not the rebellious followers of Jesus, who have been additionally Jews. historic previous proved them superb, it is strictly what happened interior the Maccabees revolt.

Well no one crucified Christ because that was not his (Jesus') last name. Christ is a level of achievement. Christ Jesus.
What if Jesus chose to be crucified so that he might make an everlasting impression on mankind? Would it really matter than who carried it out.. Remember, Jesus had the abilities to create what ever he chose to create. Couldn't he have created another option if he so chose to do so?
Just a question for a question.

Jesus was crucified under Roman law by Roman soldiers with permission from the Jewish High Court or Sandedrin. Because the Jews were under Roman leadership, they were not allowed to carry out capital punishment. So after Jesus was tried in the Jewish court he was turned over to the Romans for sentencing.

The Romans. Even the Pope has rejected the anti-Semitism of the Christian bible.
There's a fellow here who doesn't have a CLUE. He thinks the Jews were Romans and the Romans were Jews. That is not a joke; he just is more confused than those who have used this story as an excuse for 2000 years of anti-Semitism.

Jesus was a Jew himself. The story goes one of his friends (they were all Jews as far as I know) by the name of Judas, reported him to the Romans who consequently crucified Jesus. So they both did it. But lately it seems there are versions of the history that tell the story of Jesus asking Judas to report him to the Romans, so then it would have been indirect suicide, or "suicide by Roman" as we'd call it nowadays.

The Romans were Jewish... the Jews were Roman... By saying "the Romans" or "the Jews" crucified christ, you're just trying to pick who you're deciding to place blame on and dislike...

He orchestrated his own death because he had to die to fulfill the prophecies. If he could walk on water and raise the dead, he could have gotten off the cross and lived. He chose to die and those who were there were aiding him.

A handful of people. When you get right down to it though, Jesus ALLOWED himself to die so that he could pardon us for our sins and bring us salvation. The prophets foretold this in the Old Testament, right down to the detail of how he would die. That was his purpose in coming to earth.
