I see that a lot of people here respond vehemently when confronted with issues they disagree with.
Would it be better if all of us could learn to slow down and consider that, our beliefs would be better received if we were to put other's feelings as more important than our own?

That don't have obvious loop holes in them?

10 points to the first person who can name a proof of which I can't find an adequate rebuttal for.

(by proofs, I mean, because of "x" acting upon "y" in such a manor, god must exist (probably not the best of examples, but you get my drift))

And for this, we will define god as an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, omnibenevolent being.

The problem with the tree of knowledge of good&evil was not that God didnt want us to have knowledge, but He didnt want us to get too much knowledge too quickly.Comparable to say a parent teaches a child that when you make a fire&put a pan over it,you can cook food.well the child one day assuming he knows everything about how to make a fire&cook food, get a lighter or a match&makes a fire in the middle of a room with carpeting,to the shock of the child the fire steadily advances&burns;that when the parent shows up he/she directs the child to leave out the nearest door or window. So basically they had to flee the house cuase thefire advanced to far to save anything. The problem with knowledge was not that it was bad,but that the child&we do not have complete understanding&have become prideful about what little knowledge we do have&it has made many prideful tothe point they wont listen to anyone telling them they dont understand or dont comepletly understand.

Great musical.
Anyway, it's a religious musical that supports evolution. Really! In the lyrics to "Turn back, O Man," the lady sings "Old now is Earth and none may count her days..." which directly flies in the face of young earth creationism, a doctrine claiming to know exactly how old the earth is. Neat, huh?

Disclaimer - before I get blasted for posting a "stupid question - get your facts right" - I KNOW. It's just a joke. And a good song.

I mean, it is a vast universe and during the time when the first pages of the bible were scribed would not an alien being or craft be misconstrued as something divine? We can't think on terms of todays world. Seriously, sit back and think about it.

I've been looking at different takes on death, and I had seen how some people thought that when you die you will be sent to Nirvana, a state of carefree-ness, no worries or pains, and I would like to know where it came from.
