The Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality, it only condemns homosexual sex. So, by this logic, homosexuality is not a sin; homosexual sin is. I have no problem with this. Here I was, thinking that christians condemned homosexual love, when they just condemned homosexual sex. So....

Do you condemn both, one, or either?

I SWORE ON THE BIBLE WHILE I WAS LYING... AND THE WORST PART IS... THAT I DON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT ANY OF IT! NOT ONE BIT!!! I DON'T EVEN GIVE A SECOND THOUGHT TO CHEATING OR LYING! WHATS UR OPINION ON THIS?

while most people try to adjust their thinking to suit new ideas, i find some people just cant handle the fact that there is no big brother up in the sky to cuddle them. Could this be the reason why some people are joining very rigid forms of religions such as islam and scientology that actually takes control of their lives?
is it a way of trying to forget that fact that there is no external God to life, as sigmund freud wrote?
dont you think that god is more of an ideology thats internal to life than external?

We all know that numbers are symbols that point to somthing, but what are these symbols pointing to? take away the symbol for let's say the #2 what do you have? If we take away the anthropomorphic symbol for god than what do we have? can you point to it? take away the association secondary to god, can you still point to it? so what is god?

Human evolutionary history is more like a multibranched bush rather than a single unbranched ladder, our species being the tip of one human branch that still exists

If Satan is responsible for evil, then it seems he's equally as powerful as God. Some would argue that he's even winning handily.

I WAS LYING ABOUT SOMETHING AND I COULDN'T LET MY FRIEND FIGURE OUT THE TRUTH. SO SHE SAID, "YOU SWARE TO THE BIBLE THAT YOU'RE NOT LYING?"
AND I SAID "YES. I SWARE TO THE BIBLE, I'M NOT LYING" I SWORE TO THE BIBLE WHILE LYING! AND HONESTLY... I DON'T REALLY FEEL THAT BAD ABOUT IT! IS THIS BAD? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME NOW?

I would be really interested to know if anyone knows of any organisations that devote themselves to manifestations of their collective consciousness. I am sure that we are on the brink of a change. I am thinking that it is time for us all the connect with our source and take a proactive role in the directions of life.

FRANCOIS GAUTIER "Islam and the Muslim Invasions “Let it be said right away: the massacres perpetuated by Muslims in India are unparalleled in history, bigger than the Holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis; or the massacre of the Armenians by the Turks” http://www.nalanda.nitc.ac.in/resources/english/etext-project/history/gautier/chapter4.html

Its a historical fact, beyond any possible refutation, that the Arab Muslims INVADED over a great distance, the Hindu lands. Forget the staggering genocide numbers, lets just consider the INVASION itself, was if justified?

The Quran clearly extols Muslims to invade and conquer all non-muslim lands, but a few western Muslims, who wail loudly, try to hide (not even necessarily oppose) these doctrines in front of their surrounding non-muslim world.

MUSLIMS...if Islam doesnt tell Muslims to invade the lands of others, then the INVASION was wrong...agreed?

I AM ASKING IF YOU AGREE IT WAS WRONG FOR THEM TO INVADE. YES OR NO.

I grew up Baptist and never celebrated Lent. We didn't because we were told that was something specific to the Roman Catholic religion and Protestants did not celebrate in the same manner. Now, I left christianity behind many years ago, but I now see as I drive by many Protestant Churches with signs about their activities for Lent.

When did all this change and did it do so because these sects were jealous that Catholicism gets more exposure during this time of the year?

Heres the current list...and its not small -

Worldwide Islamic conflicts: Chechnya, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Somalia, Sudan and Dafur genocide, Chad, Philippines, Indonesia, Egypt, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Palestine, Tajikistan, Iraq, Algeria, Southern India, Kashmir, etc..

Give me a number. How many more Islamic wars or acts of terror would be required for you to reconsider whether Islam itself is the cause of Islamic violence?

Examples:

"Well, ok Im not unreasonable, I mean, if another 10 or 20 conflicts arose under the same 'jihadist' rational, I suppose I would have to relent"

"None, its impossible for any religious doctrine to brainwash people and inspire violence for an idea of God"

"Almost all armed conflict today is Islamic....how many more do you need....at some point you must relent to the obvious....theres wishful thinking then theres objective facts...the numbers are objective and plain to read".

I have a friend who cheated on his wife. Then he became a Christian and asked god for forgiveness. No he says he feels no guilt about what he did because he is forgiven in the eyes of the lord.

So, confessing to invisible Jesus somehow made him feel like he didn't need to confess to his wife. And now he feels like he is completely ok in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not saying he should tell his wife. But the only reason he doesn't feel guilt anymore is because he thinks that praying to some imaginary being made it all better.

Thoughts? Concerns? Flames?
