Consider that there's a handful of major world religions like Christianity and Buddhism. Christianity is divided into thousands of sects and denominations like Mormonism and Roman Catholicism that have wildly divergent dogmas, yet each insists it's the One True Church. The Islam world has Shiites, Sunnis, Wahabis, Druze and other sects that are the One True Religion of Allah. Then there's hundreds of smaller religions like Zoroastrianism and Sikhism, not to mention that there's thousands of indigenous religions belonging to the Australian Aboriginies and Hopi Indians with their own set of gods and True Knowledge. Add in extinct religions like Greek and Norse polytheism, cults, and other philosophical movements.
What's worse is that in every religion, there's people who feel deep in their hearts that they KNOW theirs is the One True Faith. Not to mention apologists who can give really good arguments for their particular faith.
So, do you think yours is the One True Faith?
