why do people feel this way ?
isnt that like saying God you done a bad job with us ?
isnt it more respectful to say that God has created amazing human beings
why do Christians feel they are not worthy ?
p.s I am simply trying to understand why because I am not sure God would find anyone undeserving when we has created you all in his image

The only eternal separation I've seen mentioned in scripture is in the ethiopic book of enoch. The 200 fallen angels are cast down and God will hide his face from them eternally. A punishment that even the serving angels begged God not to impose on them.

We may be people who do wrong but true heartfelt repentance goes a long way. Lot's of people want to condemn everyone to Hell without even thinking they're disrespecting God.

Hell will be God's decision.

I've never seen a true Christian say we deserve eternal separation but I'm sure somebody has.

The fact that we are still here must suggest we have some worth in God's eyes - I think we're pushing our luck though.

Hi,

Scripturally the concept of eternal separation is only for a very few. Many "christian religions" have used it as a way to beat down their members but it was not the way of Christ and is evident throughout the new testament especially that this is not the purpose or will of God.

Sin with no forgiveness or recourse is only accounted for two sins. Premeditated murder and Blasphemy which requires a knowledge of God, not just belief, to commit. For all other sins there is forgiveness via the grace of God after true repentance.

It is Gods will that we learn, grow and eventually return to live with him. The path has been laid and the way is sure for those who desire to progress in the path he has laid for us.

Love ya.

Actually, we're not created in God's
image - or so some of us believe.

Creation forms when energy bits called
"quarks" explode, and interact with
invisible forces known as Laws Of Physics.
Time and space are merely by-products
of this reaction.

The "Forces" are not the energy.
Energy forms are not The Force.
Humans are energy forms.
God is the forces.

We all see things different. Yet, one
thing applies to us all. If this is the way
life is, then this must be the way life works.
If it worked some other way, it would be
some other way.

Christians feel they are not worthy when the spirit of the living God comes upon them and they, against His perfection, see themselves dressed in filthy rags. It has been so for the people of God, even the very prophets of God, since the fall.

It is called conviction for correction today. The anti-Christ spirit and the children of Cane hate the thought of correction. But God corrects those that He loves.

You know full well that we stand in mortal flesh before God; no longer the spiritual beings in the first estate of Adam. But God in His Mercy has started a new creation in Christ Jesus without respect to our ability. By the shed blood of the lamb of God, we dwell, even today, in heavenly places in Christ Jesus awaiting the redemption of our bodies and the summation of time.

This is not about quasi religious feelings, about judging God or glorifying man; which are the three primary points that your question boils down to.

God is not educating Christians or manufacturing Christians but creating Christians in the image of Christ. In that process we come to sing in the spirit -- Worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive blessing and honor and glory......

I don't know any Christians who have songs which tell how worthy they 'feel'. They have thousands of songs and hymns about how they have been made worthy by a Saviour God. In that sense we do indeed feel worthy, being clothed in His righteousness and not our own.

If people deserved eternal separation, or God desired it, there would be no gospel of reconciliation and redemption. There is no mention of this in your question; which makes it misleading with regard to the love of God and what Christians believe.

I feel unworthy - because no human knows the amount of sins I have. I even feel unworthy after confession, (but better).
But deserving of eternal separation? No, I am working hard at getting into heaven, I just feel like a bad example, the few times I compare myself against holier people.
I hope, I deserve a chance to reaceh heaven.
I have trouble controlling my free will and sin too much.
Peace.

Hey, God simply gives people what they ask for. If someone doesn't like God or his bothersome commandments, then they wouldn't really like Heaven that much, either. So God sends ungrateful people out of his presence forever so that they can try to make their own happiness out of nothing (and, oh yea, God takes back everything that he gave that person -- health, peace of mind, pleasure, happiness, food, air, light, etc. -- since giving that person the ability to experience happiness & pleasure would mean that God is still interfering with that person's existence, when that person implied by his actions that he did not want God to mess with him anymore).

Why would someone feel that they earned a right to enter Heaven anyway? It is not like we are doing God any favors by doing good things -- Jesus said that when we do good we are simply doing our duty (by doing what we were made to do in the first place), so we shouldn't brag too much about it. Paul said that no one has given anything to God, that God should actually repay, or owe us anything. Looked at that way, then anything that God does for us is a gift, not really something we are owed.

And all that God expects in return is a little gratitude (worship). And we can't even do that. We whine about it like it is such a big deal to acknowledge God's existence and simply say "thanks". Why would God like ingrates like we humans are anyway? Especially when we are selfish, proud, hurtful, and indifferent to the pain & suffering of others, etc. Come to think of it, I don't really like the human race that much either. Why would a pure and holy God feel any different?

We deserve separation because of sin.

God did a great job with us, but we didnt do a great job with us did we? When we sinned, everything changed.

Humans are amazing in a lot of ways, but that doesnt change the fact that we are fallen cursed evil creatures.

We feel we are not worthy of god because we sinned and fallen short of his glory and we are correct.

You completely deny the devastating effects sin has had on our existence bringing many curses including death to us!

You are a spiritual child. What would you have 'God' do ? You feel guilty? Then stop doing something? You feel angry, sad, better than...Grow up (I am still trying too ) There are no simple Yahoo Answers - we simply have to tr. God Bless - but don't .....

But God does find us undeserving when we knowingly hurt anything in creation - self-defence is of course, acceptable (momentarily (that includes our dreams)

Yeah, that was something I never understood either. I think humans are amazing, and what is even more amazing is that given free will, and without benefit or threat of punishment, most people will choose what is "right" most of the time, especially where it affects other people, even if it is at a loss to themselves.

(Like for example, a person finds a wallet with cash in it. Even without fear of punishment or promise of reward, most people will try to return it.)

you're contradicting your self. If God is quite a God of grace, and charm is undeserved, and rather everybody recieves God's grace, why might God condemn every physique to eternal damnation? would not the definition of grace mean that somebody who deserved justice, as a replace recieved mercy? If we are sinful from delivery, then justice might call for that God be gracious to everybody. and that i disagree which incorporate your premise that justice is defined as eternal separation, judgement and punishment.
