Jesus is working landscaping by the airport? I miss the quality of his work on parks downtown. Good man.
Umm, how can he hear someone jumping out a plane needing help? He's wearing ear protection? Those leaf blowers are noisy!

Don't hate - I'm trying to be funny, and failing!! AARRGH!
Oh well... (I still get 2 points - right?)

Jesus doesn't save anybody, since he's been dead for something like 2,000 years (if he ever existed at all). If an atheist's parachute fails, the same thing happens to him that would happen to a theist in the same situation - splat!

Interesting question. But there are two application definitions to the word "save," especially when Jesus is the Savior in question.

The first definition would reference the sparing of ones life from death or danger. The second one touches on the issue of the saving of ones soul for eternity.

On the first count, no one knows. Just as God allows certain car crashes to occur and other drivers to be spared, so God might allow for a miracle or he might allow the humanly expected result (Gravity --> Most Likely Death) to occur.

The more important question is pertaining to the second definition. Would God save his soul? The answer to that is no. One who lives in denial of Christ and the mercy He's shown is destined to die apart from Christ. All men know that God exists and they are left without excuse if they unexpectedly die without accepting Him.

No. Were there believers in the World Trade Towers? Did Jesus rescue them when they could not make an exit from the inferno?

No. Jesus, if he existed, is just a dead guy. An avowed Christian wouldn't be saved either.

I assume you mean "would God save him". In which case, I hope so. Because if he existed yet was so petty and trite as to let the atheist die for simply not believing in him he isn't the sort of god I would worship in the first place.

People that parachute out of airplanes die at the same statistical rate regardless of what god they believe or don't believe in.

I saw this on MythBusters and the answer is no, unless the atheist could say eight Hail Marys before landing. So it depends on the height of the fall.

No because Jesus is rotting in his grave somewhere. Did
some impassioned Christian tamper with his chute?
