Well, perhaps a good start would be the LDS views of Christ. How Christ is considered a Savior and no one can not go to Heaven without accepting him. There is a lot of misconceptions from people that LDS do not believe Jesus is their savior. That could take up an hour or so.

I agree with most of the answers here. If it's the first time this investigator has met with the missionaries, mentioning some of the similarities we have with other Christian faiths will get the ball rolling. Then maybe asking if he/she has ever heard anything about us, explaining that there are a lot of misconceptions around and that you'd like to "set the record straight" so to speak.

How do people who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ get to heaven (or the Celestial Kingdom) after they die? I think that one is a great topic, since what we teach shows how merciful and loving God is towards all of His children.

How about the LDS belief that there is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God ( Doctrines of Salvation, Vol.1, pg.188)? Or how about the LDS belief in baptism for the dead ( Doctrines of Salvation, vol.II, pg.141). Maybe the LDS belief that the book of mormon is more correct than the Bible (History of the Church, 4:461)?
Or here is a really good one : Jesus' sacrifice was not enough to cleanse us of all of our sins, murder and repeated adultery are exceptions ( Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3 pg.247) ? Or the really big one - the LDS belief that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both (Mormon Doctrine, pg. 163) ?

I agree with deazone. That is probably the best thing to talk about since some people don't think we believe in the Bible, and it's accountings of Jesus Christ, which we obviously do.

You might mention that sacred undergarment they never take off. Being baptized for the dead, is in striking contradiction to "teaching and baptizing". Being married "for time and eternity" really gets me. "giving birth to new worlds" seems like it might wear out the wives in short order. (Maybe that is why they have spares.) It seems in direct contradiction of the Messiah's comment that there is no marriage on the earth made new.
