Can you help? Apparently many schools in Middle America (think Middle Earth or Middle Ages) haven't seen a new science textbook since circa 1950. This would be the only explanation for their belief that a "missing link" still exists, that there are major gaps in the fossil record or their complete ignorance of solid DNA for Evolution.

Can you help? A mind is a terrible thing to waste!

- major corporations enlist their thousands of employees to pray together each day for ingenuity or inspiration against the competition?

- hospitals gather all their staff together in the chapel each morning and pray for all the days surgical procedures to go well?

- government agencies allocate millions of dollars to research the benefits of praying for success in combat, or to determine if prayer could help the homeless, or feed the hungry?

- Agencies like NASA begin each day with a nationwide satellite beamed prayer session urging the safe return of shuttle missions, or even for the Mars Rover to start responding again?

- Depts like the NOAA forgo severe weather reports and just broadcast messages telling everyone to pray for hurricanes to weaken, tornadoes to abate, blizzards to disappear, droughts to end and global warming to reverse itself?

What's wrong with all these people??? Science obviously isn't helping them. How can they ignore the power of prayer?

So why do people believe something that was invented 1800 years AFTER Christ died, something that Jesus, Paul, James, John and the rest never taught?

Please, someone explain to me how the following verses are NOT misogyny:

Romans 1:27

1 Corinthians 7:27, 11:3, 11:5-6; 14:34-35

Ephesians 5:22-24

Colossians 3:18

1 Timothy 2:9, 2:11-12, 14-15 5:5-6, 9-15

2 Timothy 3: 6-7

Titus 2:4-5 (even though most scholars believe this was not written by Paul, but by someone else after his death)

These verses have been given over the course of millenia as the BIGGEST reason why women have been denied equal rights. Why else would someone write them, if not with the intent of keeping women "silent" and "subservient"?

Why do people clone others? Is usually the pathetic people who do it because they disagree with an answer other people gave? Really, what is at the heart of cloning? What do you guys think?

A user by the name of King_kong92 has cloned me and is giving answers not in my name. Just wanted you guys to know. I am a level 4, and I am Jewish. So if you see someone with my name and avatar giving an answer I wouldn't give and levels below me, it's probably not me.

But my question is, what do you think drives a person to clone another?

I have been reading the islamic q'uran and frankly, I found it reeking of terrorist teachings. You can check these out yourselves. But, why do muslims deny the islamic q'uran teaches terrorists dogma? I mean, anyone who reads the q'uran for themselves know that islam means terror. Are the majority of muslims believing in a faith taught only by their local muslim teachers because they do not know what is written? Is islam only a figment of their imagination for these non-violent muslims? Muslims claim the terrorists to be mis-led. But I now disagree, I believe the majority of muslims are either misled or pretending in order to keep a faith that only exists in their minds. I find prophetofdoom.net to be extremely accurate and truthful, quoting islamic quotes that anyone here can verify for themselves. Why do muslims pretend or are ignorant? And why are some non-muslims joining them in the pretense?

Doesnt it seem pointless to argue about some vague concept before agreeing on what it means to each person debating? For example, I can argue with u all day if there is such a thing as a good goal. BUT in the end it comes down to what u and I understand by a "good goal". That concept should be defined before proving its existence, right? I see how God believers and atheists are fiercely trying to convince one another in their righteousness. No one cares to define what they mean by GOD and THEN argue if there is one. Some see God as a superior being w/ supernatural powers. (not my idea of God) However, others see it as a Higher Intelligence, a certain law or principle by which we all are created. One of the greatest scientific minds of all, Einstein, said: "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the sligh details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind." So, What idea of God is to u?

A hypothesis - The first dieitys were created out of fear of the unknown. To appease the wrath of nature. Then Dietys became more human, the figure of the great Earth mother came to the fore. A bounitful provider but one that required each person to live in harmony with the land. Then came the minor dietys of every stream and rock the hero gods. Which were looked upon with admiration as people strove to emulate the past and beautiful forms. Then came the religeons of Control . Fear was brought back into cultures. The gods became Bitter, Angry, Demanding. Vengeful, the priests used these fears to gain temporal power and controll masses of men.

Then, a few men who understood all to well the fear of deitific wrath, slaves under a Man who claimed godhood. Came up with the idea of a Super God.

The idea of the Super God was that it was the only one. And thus all must follow or be branded as wrong. Thus control in religeon was perfected. Your thoughts?

Near the end of the Civil War and the south was losing, the Northern Generals demanded to Lincoln that they invade, killing all the rebels. Saying that is was "god's will" the rebels pay for their actions. And Lincoln said this...

"We don't know what god's will is, we have to use our own judgement."

It's too bad we don't have a Lincoln today. We could use one.

Imagine a world with feminity stripped out. The very thing that pacifies the savage beast...gone. A world full of testosterone and supressed sexual energy. Imagine it. Now you can only begin to glimpse Islam.

Why do prisons have higher homosexuality rates that world outside? Is it because criminals tend to also be homosexuals? Of course not, its a simple matter of no other opportunity.

Sexual energy is the most powerful driving force in the world, and Islam has harnassed it in the most nefarious way ever conceieved. Even simple-minded leftists cant help seeing the angry visage of raging Muslims when someone says the word "hate". They are synomous. Rage and hate are words that immediately give us the image of a Muslim somewhere burning something or screaming hysterically.

Separate the sexes and then mix give them the quran to fixate upon and an "enemy" to rage upon, and you have world war.

Greetings. I am writing a book with the intention of inspiring and encouraging people to realize that although God may seem far away and distant, he is actually quite near to us in very real and personal ways. If you have had any encounters with God through miracles, angels or near death experiences, I would be delighted to read your story and perhaps share it with the world. I cannot guarantee that your story will be published, nor can I pay you at this point in time. The goal is to spread hope and awareness in our troubled world. Please send short stories and any questions that you may have to christykanis@yahoo.com. Thank you very kindly for your time.
