I'm interested in all religions, and I like to research them. Hopefully, I can somehow use my research to promote tolerance and respect for other religions. However, so far I've found little on Buddhism, though what I've found seems pretty interesting. Can someone explain it to me?

...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!

Church is not about judging people; it’s about worshipping God and learning to love one another. We all sin, so no one is "better" than anyone else. But by God's amazing love, proven in Jesus' death and resurrection for our sake, anyone can be forgiven, cleansed, and healed.

A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to regular Saturday or Sunday worship and children's programs, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs, coffee-and-chat groups, and other activities throughout the week.

Think church isn't for you? Remember, to gain the real treasures--peace, joy, freedom, happiness, fulfillment, and eternal life--we must go where they can be found, and seek them diligently and persistently.

So, my QUESTION is:
Won't you join us in worship this week, and learn the truth for yourself?

"No, Loathe thy neighbor, he doesn't."

WRONG. Every comic book character has a weakness.

Were the Temple's destruction, Rome's crushing of Israel's resistance, and the exile of Jews punishments for rejecting the Messiah? Was that event the fulfilment of certain Old Testament prophecies which spoke of coming judgment against the unfaithful of Israel?

Because my older brother is a buddhism, and he is hard head and can't convert back into. He's a really nice guy and I don't want someone like that to end up in hell or smoking pots to expand his mind especially when that person is someone I love.

I visited this group because I thought it would be interesting and enjoyable to discuss this topic open-mindedly and amicability.

Unfortunately, there are so many rude, hate mongers posting, that I have no interest in being among your ranks.

Why can’t we discuss any subject without childish name-calling crudeness?

As a philosophy major, I have been asked to try to rid myself of everything I picked up in the outside world sometimes so I can examine each thing objectively and decide for myself, now, if it's something I agree with, or if it's something drilled into my head that I never really thought about disagreeing with.

I think a lot of people should do that with the bible, and their interpretations of it. Jesus warns us of false preachers. How can you be certain that the way the bible was taught to you was right, even if the person was well intentioned?

As an eclectic believer, I've had many people ask me if I've looked at the bible with an open heart, instead of looking for errors.
How many of you have looked at the bible with an open heart, trying your best not to be affected by what you have already been taught about it?

In my question asking what Jesus meant by going to heaven "through him" I had some people tell me it was obvious that He meant to accept him as our savior. Is it?

I love a guy who says he isn't "ready" for a relationship. He is not sure of marriage in general either. He is 26. But he has always shown his caring and attraction and respect and acceptance with me. I saw a dream, in which we were married. It was the first time ever I had such a dream about him. Does this dream mean anything? Should I wait for him?

How can we prove God exists, or doesn't exist? Our science doesn't come close to measuring everything, so how do we know that there isn't something higher out there that we just can't see? And how can we know God does exist...yes there is the Bible, but that doesn't prove anything; even with all of the correct archaeological and history stuff in there, it still doesn't prove God was involved. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
