Yes, this is the old "morning star" debate.

The word for morning star first showed up in the book of Isiah. When St. Jerome first translated the book to latin, he used the word "lucifer" ("bringer/bearer of light") to replace the Hebrew word "Heylel". Then when the King James version came around, for some reason it was changed to "Lucifer" with a capital L. People to this day think the passage is about "Lucifer's fall" from heaven. It's not. It's comparing a king's fall to the descent of Venus (the morning star) in the night sky.

Here's a great article on this subject:

Yes, Lucifer is referred to "o morning star" in Isaiah 14:12, because he was the most beautiful angel before his fall to earth here in this passage. But satan (Lucifer's referred to as a fallen angel=demon), is a copycat of Jesus. Example: Satan copies the Trinity (God, Son + Holy Spirit) with the Untrinity (dragon, Antichrist + False prophet) in Revelation. There are many other examples of this counterfeit Christ=satan. Jesus IS the morning star!!

How does devil understand he has so little time left? properly, he's really intelligent and besides the undeniable fact that he's an enemy of Jehovah God and his worshipers, he's knowledgeable in the scriptures and knows each and each and every of the prophecies that were fulfilled and are being fulfilled in the present day and could be fulfilled quickly. Take as an get mutually devil's misapplications of scripture to Jesus at the same time as he tempted him in Matthew 4:a million-11. devil knows that God has an appointed time of judgment, and that judgment will contain him being placed away for 1000 years then being enable free for a second(a couple of minutes) and then being thoroughly destroyed continuously. devil's anger is increasing ever rapidly as his destiny attracts close to, so we must be waiting and on the watch with Jehovah's help that we do not come lower than his administration.

And GOD has angels too. Isn't it weird that Lucifer is called an Angel?
(Morning Star) Lucifer was the most beautiful Angel in Heaven. That was in his glorified state. He is now Satan and the accuser of you and me. I do not think you will see any references to the fallen Angel as the bright and morning star.

Shalom.

No. The association of Lucifer with the Devil occurred centuries after the Revelation of St. John.

Yes Lucifer is called "son of the morning" in Isaiah 14:12. Lucifer means morning star. But he coveted Christ's throne (the mercy seat) for himself and fell and he has been emulating Christ ever since. Lucifer goes by many names including anti-christ which simply means "instead of Christ". Deception is his mode of operation and by deception he will destroy many, offering peace and prosperity to any who will worship him.

Christ is the Morning Star and there is no replacement. Wait for the True Christ.

I am really sorry. If you can't print out the reference Revellation 22:16 for us to read here then I can't be spending time looking that stuff up. You would do that if you really wanted a serious answer to a serious question.
I have to get on with helping others answer serious questions.
Thanks for the two points.

I have never heard this association...defining lucifer as the bright morning star. I would be curious to know where you discovered this information. You can email me if you like.

Jesus has never said he was satan. Dont put words in Jesus mouth and dont add or subtract to the Word of GOD or be subject to the curses found within.
