The core belief is those that are not or should not be disputed. They are normally the one's that are most clearly explained in the Bible ie there is only one God, Jesus is the sun of God, God created the world etc.
There are however some that are not so clear eg the trinity.
Core issues to my understanding are the issues that will effect a persons salvation.
These can be only found through careful consideration of the whole bible and not just claimed or dismissed on a single verse.
How we came by these as a core beliefs is a different mater though. I believe it was done by careful discussion of by people who new the bible very well and they came to a consensuses on what they considered the major points of the Bible. These are sometimes referred to as core doctrine. All Christian church's will adhere to these core doctrine. Going away from these is often called heresy and is found in many cults.
Doctrine out side of the core is considered to be secondary doctrine (ie non essential). These are the issues which are often not easily resolved but do not effect a persons salvation. They can be disputed and a person should not be condemned if they have a different opinion.
So in summery to the best of my knowledge a core belief is one that effects your salvation. So you want to get them right.
I hope this helps

core or central beliefs are the same thing. To make thinks simple it is basically shared laws that all Christians follow and share beliefs in. It is a shared commonality. Doesn't change

Our Core belief is that Jesus died on the cross to redeem a lost and fallen world.
That became our core belief because all of Christianity hangs on Christ finished work on the cross.
Shalom.

What makes it a core belief is that it's absence would make the entire belief SYSTEM something other than Christianity. For instance Jesus... without Jesus, the crucifixion, the resurrection, that whole messiah thing..... Christianity wouldn't be Christianity.
Belief that Jesus is the messiah and our savior is core. If we call something Christianity but it DOESN'T involve that core belief, we are mistaken in calling that something "Christianity".

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world,” and, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Of himself and his followers he further stated: “They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.” Christians are told that there can be no sharing, no fellowship, no harmony, no agreement between them and other religions.—John 8:12; 14:6; 17:16; 2Â Cor. 6:14-1

Love is a core belief of mine ... it's the underlying foundation for everything that Jesus is and what He taught. Loving each other, loving God, teaching it and practicing it is what I believe we are all to do in His name.

THere is only one...Christ is the messiah, the son of the living God. THe wage of sin is death...Christ paid that wage. You can accept his payment and enter into a personal relationship with God or deny the gift and pay the wage yourself
