Protestants accept the Bible as the irrefutable Word of God. Yet the texts were chosen by a council of Catholics, from a large selection of epistles, gospels and books. Either they were divinely inspired and thus God Manifest in His Church or the selection and resulting 'New Testament' is entirely without merit....is that why they've abandoned the Church?

I am currently and Atheist and have been one for about 7 years.

I have always wondered what Christians have to prove that there is a God.

So give me your best shot.

What is proof that God exists?

Miracles and the Bible are extremely irrelevant sources of proof, so don't pull those out.

Just because something happened because you prayed for it, doesn't mean God did it. If the thing did not take place, you would think nothing of it, but if it does, you assume it was God. Irrelevant.

Miracles in the Bible do not prove anything. There are no 'modern day miracles' that come even close to matching those from the Bible. And since it is written with no proof, it is irrelevant.

Good luck.

We passed upon the stairs,
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes -- I thought you died alone
A long long time ago

Oh no, not me,
We never lost control,
You're face to face,
With the man who sold the world

I laughed and shook his hand,
I made my way back home,
I searched for form and land,
Years and years I roamed,
I gazed a gazely stare,
We walked a million hills -- I must have died alone,
A long long time ago.

Who knows, not me,
I never lost control,
You're face, to face,
With the man who sold the world.

...with added Mesianic flavor? I have no problem with Judeaism or the Jewish people. I just want to know if modern Christians understand their faith, created by Christ, was originally Judeaism for Gentiles.

O Christians, do you really edit the book of God (bible) and earn from copy rights and deserve wrath and curse of Allah?

- Because I get the feeling that before the Internet, you all thought 99% of the world thought just like you. But in reality, you had bullied anyone with a competing viewpoint into submission (at least publicly). Now, to discover the VAST number of atheists, agnostics, freethinkers that lurk here must be very disconcerting to your worldview. Am I wrong?
