Seriously, don't give me any garbage answers that do not decide. Tell me which you would rather pick:
A) you go to heaven
B) you have the ability to cure cancer on Earth but when you die you simply die and do not go to heaven, you simply cease to exist.

Even though it be wonderful if I or anyone could have the ability to cure cancer- I would chose Heaven, because no matter if there was a cure for cancer, people would still die from something, and we do not just cease to exist we will live either in heaven or hell. I chose heaven.

Hands down B..

Why? I am happy with the life I get to lead on earth.. I dont need to go somewhere else after, I dont need eternal life, or rewards or paradise, I have made my own paradise here on this beautiful earth. I am content.. It would be nice to give other people the chance to live their life on earth to its fullest extent and the chance for them to find their own heaven on earth.

Edit.. WOW alot of selfishness in religion now isnt there? I really expected these people to actually be in some form of dilemma but it seems that they would rather have rewards for themselves than alleviate the suffering and death of millions.. Way to go religion.. who cares about everyone else as long as YOU get rewarded for worshipping a god. I'll remember that when I get the ability to cure cancer.. and I will let you die and go to heaven instead of giving you the cure.. Hows that? fair trade isnt it? One good turn deserves another..

I would choose the ability to cure cancer. By curing cancer, I would know that I would have ended the pain and suffering of millions of people on the globe.

I didn't choose Heaven because: 1) I am an atheist, and do not believe in Heaven and 2) Heaven, for me, could not be eternal joy or happiness. Knowing that there are billions of people writhing in Hell because they didn't believe what I did just sickens me.

Go to Heaven! In Heaven, cancer sufferers who were Christian or too young to come to grips with their sin will no longer suffer or grow old or know sadness of any kind! Why would anyone who has such a promise to look forward to simply choose to not exist?

cure cancer. That is not even a question.

Even if it would mean I would burn in Hell for eternity (what ever that is) I would not hesitate.

Edit-
wow I am really stunned by some of the Christian answers on here. I am not an Atheist, but how could anyone live with themselves knowing they had the ability to cure so much suffering and pain and passed it up for their own eternal bliss. I imagine that these people have never looked into the eyes of a terminally ill child...

Heaven. This life is merely a "resting" point until the final day. For those who choose this life over Paradise enjoy it because this all you will get. God knows how all of us are going to die. If we are to die of cancer then that is the way God wants it. There is a reason for everything.

The ability to cure cancer because we are making great strides medically there, so eventually we'll get something perfected, I'm sure of it.

How about the cure for osteoarthritis,I discovered the medical cause and cure .and am writing a book.have formed the osteoarthritis association, will have the website out soon.

and I know theirs a spirit of God with me, NO WAY can anyone or thing take that away.

a lady at Church had lung cancer, I bought her some pau d arco herb & took away all processed foods from her and gave her a b vitamin complex.,she ate only whole foods Cancers gone in 3 weeks.

I do not .can not, could not .make the decision about heaven or cancer.I have to leave all that up to God and If I could cure cancer or not go to heaven I would suppose I'd pick heaven,if it came right down to it.I have cured many 1000s of people of o.a.and other illnesses

The ability to cure cancer lies in the teaching of ancient wisdoms.
One must cleanse the Mind, Body & Spirit of negative energy. In my experience, anyone who believes in "Heaven" doesn't have mental strength to transform themselves. This being because they believe that power lies with an external force (in God's hands) rather than within themselves.
Sad, but true....

I choose heaven, eternal life with God. I do not mean to downplay the need to alleviate the suffering of cancer patients. I just would want them to have peace about the possibility of dying from cancer. Dying is not ceasing to exist; it is to go either to hell or heaven.
