Start living the Wiccan Rede every day. It sounds simple, but it's a lot more difficult than it appears.
Begin conducting Wiccan rituals and communing with the Goddess and the God in circle. If you need a ritual outline to get started, I'd be happy to share with you the one that my Full Moon group uses. Please feel free to email me.
Try witchcraft, and see if it suits you. But always be mindful of the Rede and the Law of Threefold Return, and phrase your spells carefully. Practice on focussing your intent, because without intent you can't work magic.
Become more attuned with nature. Take walks in parks. Sit under a tree and concentrate on feeling its life-force. Pause to feel the sun on your face and to taste the wind that's blowing over you. Gaze at the moon and let your spirit soar.
Those are the simple versions of some of the possible answers. To fully explore all the possibilities can take a lifetime. You might find the books "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" and "Living Wicca" by Scott Cunningham useful as you're starting out, but I'd advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf.
I wish you the best of luck on your path. Blessed be!

First of all, I wish to educate, so "best answer" does not matter.
I am Pecti-Witan (aka a Hedge Witch, a solitary not Wiccan). It takes time and a lot of study. Do you want the structure of coven life or the Independence of being solitary? Can't help you with coven because I have never belonged (or had the desire to belong) to a coven or any group in particular.
I am afraid I can't help with the easiest transition, because I have accepted the lifestyle and lived by the rede 24/7 for over 40 years. For me it is just a matter of being who I am, being the person I was meant to be. If others can't accept it then it is their problem not mine.
To decide which denomination would be best for you perhaps you could try "Buckland's Complete Guide to Witchcraft.". Personally I have always liked Scott Cunningham's " Wicca, Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" except he calls all witchcraft wiccan, but you get the gist. I was practicing long before either of these books were written. Mostly by instinct and perhaps past memories, since I believe that this is not my first life as a witch. My mother was a latent witch and I am the great grand daughter of a Comanche Medicine Man. Aquiring books on herb, gemstone and candle magick would also be a good thing to do.
Being Pecti-Witan I am more into divination and Magick than into worship and ritual. Tho I do have my own rituals. I have even created some of my own divination tools utilizing Pictish symbolism. It is kinda fun to do it yourself, more meaning that way.
The transition from what? Just curious. Just be aware of all the ignorant close minded ones you will encounter, they seem to have infested Y/A like a rampant group of parasites. Fortunatly it is not quite as bad in the real world.
All I can do is recommend doing a lot of reading and your heart will lead you to the right path for you.
By the way, asking a Christian not to judge you is like asking a cat not to chace mice. I think they do it for fun.

MY Gods I can't believe how absolutely wrong almost every answer is so far, with the exception of Nightwind's. Wicca is a RELIGION. It is not about herbs or magic, that is part of it for some people, but for many it has nothing to do with the religion. We do not try to compare ourselves with Christianity, because A - it would give us LESS credibility, and B- the entire premise of Christianity (the whole original sin/salvation concept and monotheism) is absolutely antithetical to everything Wicca is. Unfortunately, defining the "Wiccan Lifestyle" is impossible, because every believer has their own lifestyle. I know of covens with intentional communities, a few communes, many more people who may be in a coven but live a life entirely separate, and the vast majority who are solitary (members of no group) We rent apartments or own homes, we live in the country or in the city, we worship with others, we worship apart. Some of base our holidays on the Celtic system, some on the ancient Greek calendar, or the Roman or the Egyptian, or the.... I hope you're beginning to see the difficulties in trying to give you an answer that will serve for an entire group of people that probably don't even have the title of Wiccan in common. I suggest that you ask the people you know, most will be more than willing to share when asked in a respectful manner.

I'm not sure how to explain it. Mostly study everything about it that you can get your hands on, don't let anyone else tell you that you can't do something the way you feel is right (you may like to consider Eclectic Wicca but thats completely up to you. As is almost everything in Wicca), and live by the Rede.
Being Wiccan isn't easy, just look at the way we get treated on here, but it is alot more welcoming, understanding, and open minded than pretty much any other religion on the planet.

I am wiccan and I came to be wiccan by studing the general beliefs and finding a tradition in which I was comfortable with. There are many different traditions each with different views or practices ... so which ever you feel more connected with. Once you have found the one that fits you then you make a choice to either be solitary menaing you practice alone or you join a coven I am solitary so I am not sure on the coven ways. You self initiate yourself with God and Goddess ... best advice look for a book or website on wiccan and it will have those specific details on the proscess. Good luck ....
And we dont frown on new combers we simple dont recruit them you just half to come to this belief on your own as I have explained that way it is a real belief not brainwashed like chritianity.

Changing and evolving into a true Pantheist takes a lifetime. Years later you will still be amazed that you are still transforming.
My turning began at Pagan Camp. There is so much there to absorb, that it is always a learning and growing experience. Find a camp in your area, and plan to attend at least one festival this summer.
Blessed Be... ; )

First you can learn about different traditions of Wicca to see if any interest you:
http://www.starkindler.org/witch.html
http://beaufort.bravepages.com/index.html
http://www.witchvox.com/_x.html?c=trads
Then you can look for a local mentor:
http://www.witchvox.com/vn/vn_index/xpagans.html
http://www.witchvox.com/vn/vn_index/xgroups.html
http://wiccan.meetup.com/
You can also look for others on-line to help you along. This is my favorite group/message board on the subject:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amberandjet/
http://www.ecauldron.net/
Other than that, practice your beliefs, keep learning, and stay green. Best wishes!

My advice: don't.
Wicca is a reconstruction of tribal European nature worship, taking bits and pieces from a variety of cultures and practices. Gardnerian Wicca is a glaring example. It is not a religion. There is no unifying text (the Rede is by no means universally accepted), priesthood or set of beliefs, involving pantheism and 'Goddess worship' (which has not been prevalent in the West since the Neolithic period). Why not explore a pagan path rooted in genuine religion (Druidry/Asatru/Khemetic Orthodoxy).

I won't judge you But I would strongly advise you not to put yourself into something like that, their are consequences for idolizing and part taking in false religions and etc.
Don't risk not being a part of the Heavenly Kingdom.

If you find out, let me know. In my experience, Wiccans are elitist and extremely unwelcoming to newcomers.
