How does God talk to you? One of my friends said that God told her not to date during college. That God wanted her to focus on school work. I asked the guy she told this to, how God speaks to him, and he replied that he cries and can't breathe. How is that talking? He then asked me. I said. God never talks to me. He shows me things - brings events and people into my life. So I'm asking - if God talks to you, how does he do it?

mean that the writing of the "bible" was God-inspired but that the two books were? At the time of the writing of these two books, the bible had not been canonised. In fact the church created the bible as a collective of books suppossedly written by God-inspired authors. What's your views?

My best friend was shot at age 34 ... It was unexpected and the family is having a hard time dealing with the loss... I thought that a scrapbook made by all his friends to present to the family would be a good idea.... the memorial is going to be very casual and almost like a "gathering" instead... what do you think?

If repentence for homosexuality involves giving up one's homosexual practices...

... doesn't it follow that repentence for divorce means giving up the divorce and returning to your marriage and your spouse?

If you fail to do either, is your repentence considered "real?"

The Islamic code states that men must grow a beard to at least the length of a closed fist. Long beards are not very hygienic and interferes with eating and grooming.
Give it some thought and only respond with serious answers.

My friend is Christian and I would say I am "still finding myself". But I found if very "HATEFUL" to condemn another person for their religion and say that only CHRISTIANS are going to Heaven or whatever "afterplace". With all the similarities between religions, why religion continue to be so divisive. I feel content to just follow the principle that is ever present in all religions "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I don't think my religion is going to determine whether I go to heaven. I think how I treat folks will

In a previous question I asked how you could still be a Christian if you are divorced. I understand that there are some instances in which the Bible condones divorce, but I think we all know that the majority of Christian divorces hardly fall within those instances. However, divorce seems to be quite readily accepted and divorcees are still allowed in church. Gays on the otherhand are persecuted by Christianity. Why the double standard when you claim both are wrong in God's eyes? What is the explanation for this?

when some of their people have no respect for anyone different than their faith
not all christians are like this but some are in Islam it is forbidden to be racist or anything you just have to live life with peace and happiness
when i was in starbucks there wwere these two guys talking and one of them said " i finally found out why muslims cant it pigs, because they would be cannibals" when i heard that i felt angry because i felt like i was slapped in the face it it wasnt the first time i got spoken badly by a christians so they laughed and wished that all muslims would die
i have never said anything bad about any other religions and dont know any muslim who would say anything like that what do you think
