The right path for you is the one you chose. All paths lead to the same place if the seeker is honest and genuine. None will lead him/her there if they are not.

In an ideal world, you should follow a path which is custom designed for you. This could happen in Vedic India where you might get a personal Guru who was 'realized' and charted a path specifically customized for you.

In the absence of such a luxury, you ought to choose a path which:
* Accepts that there could be multiple paths to the same destination and no path might be appropriate for all people - just like there could be multiple, different routes to climb a mountain peak, but ultimately the peak is the same for all the different paths.
* Is flexible and sensible.
* Offers explanations which are logical and consistent with your knowledge of the universe

I believe Hinduism (or 'sanatana dharma') can offer such a path - a path which appears to offer a logical and consistent world view. It also offers many (even wildly) different points of view, but at the same time, it can offer a point of view which would be compatible with your beliefs and expectations. All these different points of view fit within the same framework.

Trying to find the true religion is like trying to find a color if you are blind. And everyone else is blind too. Most everyone will say that their path is the best. But what works for them may not work for you. If everyone just have ethics and live the best that they can live without forcing other to their point of view, then the world would be a better place. But ... that's just my viewpoint.

FORGET RELIGION
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

God's Word is not a religion but a reality.

The Bible outlines a criteria to identify the true religion.
What was important to Jesus?
What religion is continuing to consider that important?
Example.
He said the making known of God's name and honoring it was top priority.
Matthew 6:9 and John 17:6.
What religion is continuing to consider that important today?
There are other examples.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul or spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

True Religion is available, search for it.

Does any religion meet these standards? The book "Holocaust Politics" published in 2001, says "If more people practiced versions of what the Jehovah's Witnesses preach and practice, the Holocaust could have been prevented and genocide would scourge the world no more."

Indeed, in 236 lands, and 100,000 Congregations Jehovah's Witnesses do not just preach the Bible's moral standards, they live by them.
