The major religions usually have lots to say about most things, why are they so quiet about the environment and global warming?

If the major religions appear to be so quiet about the environment and global warming, that is only because the media does not bother to report what they are not only saying, but doing. Whenever religions are united on some matter (such as this) it is considered boring and unimportant. The media only pays attention when there is controversy about any issue.

However, we ought to be far more concerned about our own, personal responsibility here, and stop thinking in terms of 'religions' or even organisations, because God has warned, "The time has come... for destroying those who destroy the earth." (Revelation 11:18). We are supposed to be stewards of the earth, entrusted with tending and caring for all of God's creation, but how many of us can stand before God and say we did all we could in that regard? How many can say they never contributed towards the ruination of the earth? Where does that leave you - and me?

Around here, not many Christians are quiet about global warming because it says in the Bible that one of the signs that the world will end is a large change in the weather.

Giggly Giraffe asked about the person offering 5 million for anyone who can work out how to remove the greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere. This would be Richard Branson. And no, he's not a protestant. He's an atheist.

And this was probably just another cheap publicity gimmick.

It is not something we really need to be concerned with. True, we can do something about it now, and hopefully Christians are trying to make positive changes in their lives not to add to the earth's destruction. Ultimately though God will have to step in and clean up the mess man has made to this planet. If he didn't, surely and without a doubt it would be totally destroyed. God has promised to make the changes needed to cleanse the earth. "Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth, AS IT IS in heaven." Come Lord Jesus!

God told Adam in the beginning to take care of the planet, and animals --- we didn't listen --- we can only blame ourselves for not following God's plan.

There are many religious strives for a better environment. Did you hear about that British Dude (Philanthropy) who's going to give FIVE MILLION Euros to any scientist who can suck carbon poisons from the air (I think he's Protestant-Christain). I think 1/2 gets paid upon the device, and the remainder gets annuitized over the next 10 years.

this question reminds me that I could do greater study into anthropocentric worldwide Warming hypotheses. worldwide Warming is a reality, yet despite if we are making any actual effect on it, i'm uncertain i comprehend that if we are an considerable ingredient, the only thank you to cut back our effect includes large decreases in all aspects of the economic equipment, from production facility production to farming to transport. perchance this would be one section the place the fundies are amazing - we would opt for a minimum of two/3 of the international's inhabitants to vanish to make issues amazing.

Every one of the things that God has created, man has destroyed; Christians know that they need to fear God and not be caught up in the distractions of planet erosion.
