It is not God who must restore His credibility, but us who broke the covenant again and again throughout human history. Judging how your question is formulated you have some ideas of God's doings in the Old Testament, but you have no serious study of the scriptures under you belt. You fail to study the historical, religious, mythical, and cultural nuances within the writings. If you had then you would not make such an erroneous suggestions with your question.
My friendly advice is for you is to study the Scriptures well and let the text inform you instead of you putting your modern mindset and interpretations to it. To do such a thing is called eisegesis. A lot of people make this mistake with the scriptures and therefore fail to learn properly from them and much less speak properly of them. It is a grave injustice to yourself and such a gift as the scriptures.
Be careful and study well my friend. May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

who is God trying to restore his credibility to? YOU?
God really needs no credibility for non believers.. U have to have faith... Just like you have faith that ur car will start when u turn that key.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 1:11 And faith without works is DEAD.. So when/if u find a True preacher.. He will prove all of these things to you... All ur questions.. And ULL truly understand why the word is PERFECTLY written.. Just because u can't see that doesnt mean its not there.

Progressive revelation means that God reveals teachings according to peoples' capacities to understand them. God was dealing with very primitive peoples and actually limited many of their practices, such as slavery and war. The fact that slavery was allowed does not mean that it was divinely-sanctioned. If you closely observe the details of the laws, you will find that slavery was made temporary and limited. God hated slavery, but He allowed it in a limited form because of the primitive stage in human development at that time. Now God has totally abolish it.
Don't judge religion anachronistically.

God has no need to restore His credibility with anyone or anything. You, however, seem to have much work to do to restore YOUR credibility with God.

God just laughed at that question, but we will account to God for every word that comes out of our mouth. You need to read the Book of Job. Job questioned God with his self-righteous self and God let Job know quickly that He answered to no one because there is no one like Him. God said He can make bad pot and good pots because he is the Potter. God said he can make a man blind just so that he can be healed when God wants him healed. He can let Lazarus die so He can raise him from the grave. God gave you your breath and God can take it away at any moment. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

I think you need to examine yourself before the creator of the universe.
Sin doesn't go unpunished.
We all sin.
God loves us and doesn't want to see us punished.
He sent Jesus.
It's your choice. It's not God's fault.

He doesn't have to prove any thing to mere man. He sent CHrist and that's enough right there.
