He wrote for all of us, and I love him! I can tell you all about him, and teach you how to have him in your life! What have you got to lose by letting him in?!

Praise Richard Dawkins!!

(Yes, I've asked this once before; but hey, it's asked every day about Jesus.)

For a religions of the world class, we've been asked to interview someone from a religion other than our own (in my case, Christianity). What are ten questions you'd ask someone from a different relgion?
(no sarcastic comments, please!)
Thanks!

Should I just do what ever I want, hurt people, emotinaly and whatnot. Should I lie cheat, steal, and just do what ever the heck I want. Not giving a damn about others.

As Long as I know that on my death bed I can ask for redemption or forgiveness?

Or that evolution is somehow, incorrect?

Someone actually answered one of my questions and she said that this;

http://www.biblebelievers.com/powell2.html

Utterly laughable website was not only proof that god exists, but that evolution is false.
Honestly, it would have been funny if it hadn't been so flipping tragic.
If this is what you people call "proof" then by all means, remain mired in a medieval cult and continue to worship an imaginary sky pixie.
You're too far gone to be helped.

It is impossible to know what religion is right. Or if there is a God or not. Maybe everyone should compromise. No one is better than anyone else.Muslims get to eat pork. Christians get to believe that everyone is saved and not just them, this way they will be with everyone they love.Atheists, consider, well maybe there is a God.Jewish people don't have to wear those caps.Buddhist can believe it's possible they will go to heaven and not reincarnate all the time. Just love each other and help each other as much as we can. Go out of your way to not harm anyone.Live in peace with each other.Make a better world than the one we have now.

Does this passage refer to Pre or Post Ressurection Jesus or BOTH?

Col 2:9
"For in Christ all the fullness of the Diety lives in bodily form,"

Now, I am a Christian. I was raised in a Church. I went through a trial/questioning time and began a relationship with God. I went and got my Bible degree and now I am serving God full-time. Yet there is one concept that keep whirling around in my mind. That is the divinity of Jesus.

I was taught to believe that Jesus is God. Though Jesus never claims to be God. He claims to be the Son of God and to be from God and like God but not God. In fact, while on earth he REFUSES worship and he prays to the Father. Yet, after his ressurection and when he is being ascended into heaven in the Gospel of Luke, he allows his follwers to worship him.

Therefore I have been wondering that while I believe Jesus had divine qualities while on earth he was FROM GOD and he was the Son of God but perhaps he was not God until he ascended.

ok, so Im an 18 yearold girl and Im starting a young girls group at my church, there are 4 girls, they are all freshmen in Highschool. The group is going to be about relationships, growing up, coping with lifes issues, peer pressure, you know, those kinds of things, with somewhat of a christian basis. I dont want it to be all bible lessons but the material should tie in to God somehow. anyway, I would love it if any of you know any good websites to get information and material to help me out with that, or even if you have some good ideas yourself, I want the group to be fun and different and I want them to learn from it at the same time, Im usually good at these things but I want my first lesson to be good so they'll be as excited about the group as I am. :] thank you very much!

I'm Roman Catholic, and yesterday I asked about Buddhist Meditation, chanting sutras, and stuff like that and asked if doing this would be sacreligious. After hearing the feedback, I now have another question:

Are there any Catholic Sutras/Mantras/Something you meditate on and maybe chant? If so, what are there names? Then, are there any websites that I can look them up on and learn them?

If you want to get a better understanding of what I am asking, my question is still open on my profile.

jews, masons, christians? - and will it matter which group funds it?
in order for the antichrist to defile it.. it needs to be consecrated/dedicated to God, i'd think.

They agree that they do have missing information or have lack of evidence in some areas of evolution. Why is it so hard for the Evolution followers on here to admit the same thing that scientist readily state? In stead of saying " we don't have all the answers to Evolution" most on here claim it to be infalliable. Why do you continually do this when you know that there are some areas of evolution that are in question and other scientist agree?

Christian parents really ought to consider what they are doing to their children emotionally. The following should be considered child abuse. (I actually bore witness to this)
A preacher's wife (they had 8 kids) locked her three year old in a closet in the dark and wouldn't let her come out until she got saved.. told her that the closet is what hell is like.

This is good christian parenting?? Scare them and emotionally scar them for life? Make them feel guilty all the time and worthless? And you wonder why there are so many christians in prison and psych wards today.

We all know that Christians claim to be different....

So what do they DO that separates them, besides just "attending church", and talking about God?
And what DON'T they do that makes them just like everyone else?
And what SHOULD they do that would show you that they are sincere about their beliefs?

NOTE: I am a very strong believer in Christ and God, and am only looking for a way to show the world that I am different. I acknowledge that there are different Christians, but notice that much of them are no different, even though they claim to be.

So tell me your thoughts.....

Protestant... im not a protestant, im agnostic.

i only find it odd that you give more credit to mary for having jesus then you do to God for CREATING mary.
