I've heard in a song "God needs the Devil", is it true. Would the world be unbalanced without the devil. Nothing would have happened with out the devil. I dun no?...... What do you think.

That goes along with the whole Choice thing. Satan used to be an angel in God's kingdom, before he got the idea that he could be just like God, and the Angel's should be worshipping him aswell. And God created a firey place below ground and cast satan into it. As for God "needing" the devil, it's not so much that he needs him, it's more that he's there because he went against God and to this day still is determined to have the most followers and rule over God one day. Which of course that won't happen but still, he try's anyway.

God vs. Devil is an antiquated way of understanding energy and how 2 forces work in unison to emerge into another different force and so on. If nothing collided, there would be nothing.
Old answers are interesting but not relevant.

I thought God and the Devil where the same! Like the two sides of a coin. You mean there are two supernatural beings?

The probability of the existence of any supernatural intelligence (either with good or bad intentions) is 0%.

Faith does funny things to the minds of people -- it prevents them to reason.

Hello
Opposite values compliment each other. If devil was not there, how will we know the virtue of God?
Devil is the lower consciousness striving to reach the higher consciousness that is God.

No, God did not need the devil. Satan fit into Gods plans very nicely but God did not need him. Sometimes I wonder if Satan gets mad at himself for playing right into God's hand all the time?

In a sense... yes . God put us on this earth to see who we would follow of our own free will. Would it be God or satan. They both have influence on the people of the earth. But if one or the other is the "only show in town ", then the test is invalid. So in that scenario satan is need . Other than that he is just a pain.

the devil was part of Gods plan .. but in the end he will be gone ... the argument that good needs evil is ridiculous ... its an attempt to sound intelligent thats not intelligent at all ... thats just my opinion tho ...
