How sad it is that so many well intentioned people, both protestant and agnostic misinterpret the Catholic position on this topic. God indeed had Mary born of a man and a woman to be immaculate, that is born without original sin. For only through a pure vessel could Jesus, God Himself, come to mankind (men & women) God is a triune God, There is the Father, Creator, the Son, the Redeemer and The Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier. We do not give more credit to Mary having Jesus, She is though Mother of God, as Jesus IS God Incarnate.

I don't think you're a protestant. I simply think you're ignorant of Catholic teaching. That's a comon symptom of protestantism, but equally fitting to an agnostic.
Again.... Catholics place due honor upon Mary, but not more than they do upon God. If you're going to discuss religion, do a bit of research. Read the parts of the Gospels that discuss Mary, and then you'll be able to understand the Catholic position on Mary.
You haven't been asking questions, you've been making statements in the form of questions. If you want to find out why Catholics honor mary, you would ask the question: Why do Catholics honor Mary.
When you say: "i only find it odd that you give more credit to mary for having jesus then you do to God for CREATING mary." That's a false statement. Catholics don't give more credit to Mary. Period.

Who on Earth have you been talking to. I'm no longer a Catholic, but I was never taught anything even remotely close to that.
Out of curiosity, why (even if it were true) would you find this odd. Being agnostic means believing that God is unknowable. This being the case, wouldn't you consider any answer odd?

You find wrong and for some reason you like misrepresenting what we are taught and what we truly believe. Maybe if you would ask us questions instead of make accusations and throw insults in question form me and other Catholics could talk to you and tell you what we really think instead of either arguing with you or ignoring you all together. I think it would be easy for many Catholics to confuse you for a fundamentalist because we have been hearing the same types of things from them for a long time.

How many times and how many ways do we have to say this before you listen and understand?
We do NOT give Mary more credit than God. That would be idolatry, and idolatry is strictly forbidden by the Church. We honor her as Christ's mother and love her for being such a spectacular role model -- humble, loving, caring, and kind.
That's as plain as this Catholic can make it. What's annoying is your insistence that you're absolutely right, even in the face of what you've been told by those of us who actually belong to the Catholic faith.

They do not understand that anyone who is not a Vatican/catholic can be anything but a PROTEST ant.
They do not even realize that Baptists / Anabaptists never were under the Yoke of Rome/the Vatican and therefore could not possibly be PROTEST ants.
Their poop calls Jesus EARTHLY mom "The Mother of God" so that is the only way they can think of her.

LOL! They call you protestant because that is what protestants believe. They also ask catholics why the hell would they uplift mary when she is only human and yadda yadda yadda. The Catholic religion has gone through a lot, and I think some of their interpretations are definately twisted. Props for challenging them though!

I don't do that, and I don't know any other Catholics who do.

Question: How long are Christians going to bicker over these differences? We all agree that we have different worship styles and practices. That's why we have so many religions. OK, that's understood. But, aren't we called to stand united in our beliefs and bring the Kingdom of God into being? We need to stop finding differences and get to the business at hand!

Not true! God gets most of the credit. It is nice to also acknowledge the courage Mary had and her deep faith in God, that all would work out as promised.
