Aw heck.. you can be an Atheist one too :-) Or Agnostic...Wait...any kind. Just answer.
I play guitar and drums, and the occasional piano.
Does your belief effect the music you fill yourself up with?

I play Clarinet, Side Drum, and the Bagpipe. And I can sing like a superstar....in the shower and in the car, anyway.
My religious beliefs (or lack thereof) don't affect my music. My cultural background does. (I play in two pipebands, and am of Scottish descent.)
I'm a true eclectic in music. There's no genre that's safe. From opera, to heavy metal, to Salsa and anything in between. Hell, I even have gospels and Xian music, if it appeals to my sense of music.

Yes, I play in a Christian band and play a lot of worship songs,. but then thats what I'm driven to play and enjoy playing. I also listen to a lot of worship music to get ideas for the band and work out in my head how a song should be done. However I do listen to a lot of music that isn't Christian on my ipod, but I'm careful to avoid stuff that has anti-Christian lyrics.
I don't play much secular stuff though, it tends to be only for fun and every now and again. Like we played summer nights from Grease for a laugh during one of our band rehearsals, our bass player started it, I joined in and then the girls started acting out the bits from the film. Guess you had to be there.

For some people, yes. But for me, I think as long as you have God in your heart, it should not effect the music you fill yourself up with. You are you and no one can judge you except God. He knows how much you love Him and know His place in your heart. Just like the saying, "You cannot judge a book by its cover." True?
There are more to someone heart and beliefs than just the music they listen to :P Hope this help.

I was a Christian musician, now I'm a Pagan one. I suppose that I was actually a Pagan when making Christian music.
I listen to Laura Powers, Loreena McKennitt, Enya and others.

As a youth I played the Church organ; then the priest banned me because I drank the church wine. So Uncle Owen bought me a guitar. I play lots of Jazz.

I think that belief does effect the music you play or listen to. I know for me it does.

Well, I am a Christian. I don't ONLY listen to Christian music, but I do like it. I guess it affects what you listen to somewhat, and it also depends on how big on religion you are. I don't listen to music that degrades my religion, but I don't stick to Christian music. I listen to bands that don't play Christian rock, or whatever. But yeah, it does affect some people's choices.

YES!!! I think that what you feed yourself with thats where your mind and heart will be. You listen to 'hatefull' music then thats what it is going to be like. I dont always play christain music though. There are plenty of good songs in the world!!!
