I've seen many answers on here that say what is the true path to follow. I've also seen just how different religious groups there are that have all stemmed from Christianity. Along the way these other religions have decided that their way is the better way and the path to redemption after death. Nobody really sings from the same hymn sheet. I'm not being argumentative or trying to rub people up the wrong way. Surely, if the end product is the afterlife with God then what does it matter what religion or how a religion is followed?

The goal posts change all the time. Can anyone really say that they are following the exact rules at all times that gives you the path to heaven?

A lot of people answer on here and they preach religious text or make religious comments but do you really know what you should be doing to ensure your place in heaven beside God or Jesus or Mary to make a point. Also, why do they scorn people that follow Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism or any other religion that does not center on God, Jesus or Mary. Surely that is not godly? Then again I’ve seen spiteful scorn against Jehovah witnesses, Catholics, Methodists etc.

Can you see why it’s so confusing?

I know I have opened myself up for a few hostile comments and I’m not just talking about my grammar. The proof is in the pudding as they say.

God cursed mankind and females (in particular) with painful childbirth for eating fruit from the forbidden tree of knowledge.

Jesus later came and died for the sins of ALL MANKIND. If thats the case and Jesus died for everyone's sins, then why do women still experience a painful childbirth?? Has God forgotten women and still forces them to endure pain and misery? Where is the love in that??

Main example - Gay marriages. I do not care how much scripture is in the bible about it. I do not care what Jesus said about it. Please do not tell me what Jesus or Paul or whoever said about gays. That is only relevant to Christians.

What I want to know is this: what is your issue with separation of church and state? Marriage is a legally binding contract according to the government. Christians may add a religious aspect to their ceremonies, but that does not even come close to changing the fact that religious bias does not belong in our laws.

California is being asked to consider making it a crime to spank children 3 and under. The Bible teaches we are not to spare the rod.

Many Christians would have to go to jail in order to obey God rather than man. Like in the Bible.

I for one will obey God rather than man. No matter the outcome.

it seems that most of the worlds religions are very judgemental. i always thought that one of the main concepts behind religion was for god(whichever god you follow) to do the judgeing and his followers to keep their noses out of other peoples busisness and worry about their own behaviour.
why then do most people of religion think it's their moral duty to stick their orr into other peoples lifes and constantly judge their values and behaviour?
i'm not trying to stir up trouble here and i'm not speaking from personal experince but i'd be intrested to hear everyones views on the subject.

why do people not believe in an afterlife and stuff like that because their is no scientifical evidence to be honest i am quite sceptic about the afterlife but i am open minded. if science could prove religon ever1 would just commit suicide to go to heaven so why do people not believe in religon because of scientifical profe?and religon is to do with faith and not science anyway..

If God made the Garden and placed Adam and Eve there directly and Satan was able to get in and corrupt God's perfect plan, how can we be certain that Satan wasn't able to corrupt the word of God being given to us when it wasn't done directly by God but went through the hands of men? How perfect for Satan to plant ideas in the bible meant to divide us and cause problems among men. I am hoping someone has an answer....

Is there a spiritual message from the Bible, God speaks through the pages of life events and experiences..... God is saying,"Always do what I say," Can you?

From the begining of creation, God has required us to obey him. All through history, we have had a difficult time in doing it. Even when God warns us specifically of the consequences of disobedience, we do not always obey him.

I asked:

"Isn't it cool to think that we have the ability to believe in whatever we want for our after-life or paradise?"

this was the Christian answer:

"Wrong. wrong. wrong.

It ain't speculation. Jesus Christ rose from the dead. There is an empty grave outside the city walls of Jerusalem. He is alive. He alone conquered death and He alone can show us the way to God.

You might enjoy your private fantasy and having your own personal belief about an after-life but when you die, you will stand before the throne of god and give an account of the deeds done in this life. Only those who have come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ will be granted eternal life.

so I wouldn't daydream too much.....

god bless"

do we even think of killing ourselves. If we are so simple as just bodies why do we even get a thought of killing our bodies? When we say kill ourSELVES who is that we are trying to kill. In fact WHO is suggesting u to kill ur own SELF? Is it ur body? Is it your brain? Brain is just like a computer and nothing else? Doesn't that prove existence of things other body with in us? When U say to urself I want to walk don't we realiaze there is a different character there other than our body whom WE are COMMANDING to walk? If we say that it is our mind that decides every thing. What is mind then. Medical science in the first step doesn't accept anything that is not visible including mind. Doesn't that prove we are souls. Atleast it proves we are not bodies. Then why are scientists trying to deny the soul so easily?

If god is omniscient, then he knew giving his word to humans would be allowing it to be messed with, tweaked, and otherwise perverted, so why did he do it? How can he expect anyone to know what is really his word and what isn't? What tools do christians have to decipher what in the bible is truly the word of god and what has been added or changed? How do they know nothing is missing? Why are there so many translations? if the words were in one language to begin with why should it be interpreted so many different ways? Don't words have limited meanings?

Ok. I know this sounds strange.
I went to a physic on a dare after my friends and I had finished reading a book on sprits and focus' and stuff. I guess a Focus is a person who a poltergist or spirt focus on. Anyway, when we got there this lady looked at me strange and asked to look at me. Then she asked my friends if anything strange happends around me when I have extreme emoitons. Of course my one friend who believes in all this started going on about how when I got mad a few times people around me started choking. Then this woman started babbling about me being a Focus and how I might not be safe... what the hell was she talking about!

I keep hearing about the bible saying people aren't supposed to be homosexual or have same sex marriages. Please provide the actual verse and the listing. (whatever you call it - John: 3.15 or something???)

I just don't see anything wrong with being homosexual or gay marriage and I want someone to point out what god actually says about it - not someones interpretation.
