This question is basically a rehash of the account in the Book of Maccabees where a Jewish mother was forced to watch her sons slaughtered before she herself was killed. She encouraged her children not to apostatize, and she went to her own death without denying God.

My family are Christians, and I know where they're going when they die. They made the same commitment to Jesus that I did when I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Denying Him to prolong their lives isn't something that they would want, any more than I would want them to deny Him for me.

So the answer to your question is: No, I don't *want* to watch them die, but I won't deny my Savior, either.

I would rather watch my family die slow deaths through torture. I don't see how being degraded at anyone's feet would be less torturous.

you're no longer getting it in anyway (no longer that i could assume an atheist to truthfully comprehend Christian doctrine). Christ is God. God created guy, He created us waiting to experience discomfort and misery and hurting and finally death; yet God Himself in no way skilled this. while Christ, a mortal, died on the bypass... God Himself skilled existence, discomfort, misery and death. He went by those issues by way of fact the very guy He Himself created. God went during the main painful variety of death achievable, for a gaggle of awful people who He knew could proceed to sin besides. How is that no longer sacrifice? And the place do you get the thought that it extremely is basically sacrifice in case you provide greater desirable than you get, precisely? i won't be able to think of of one occasion wherein that's authentic. as an occasion, once you're making "sacrifices" in a courting, you're giving some thing up so which you would be able to get a greater effective courting in return. once you "sacrifice" the classic chocolate cake after dinner, you do it to benefit greater effective actual difficulty and wellbeing. Why could all people ever make sacrifices in case you're able to benefit below you provide!? that's no longer even rational. wish this helps.

EITHER watching my family be tortured, OR spend an eternity at Jesus's feet? I'd spend it at Jesus's feet.

What if, what if, the atheist's same old tune. You accuse Christians of living in a fairy tale, well, hello, where are you?
