Mine is, "What am I seeking?" - I can't seem to figure it out; most things have only taken me in a circle; the answer's probably in that somewhere, but I haven't fully awakened to it yet.

Okay rules: Don't quote the bible, and say 'cause the bible says so. What was Jesus' reasoning for this. I understand I do "sin." But the good in my life, far outways the bad. How can your loving saviour send me to hell and be okay with it. On what grounds should I spend eternity in hell. And for those who are going to say why should I be accept into the Kingdom of someone I don't accept, let me tell you why. If I were God/Jesus and a man came to me and said, "I'm sorry I didn't believe in you, but your followers are confused, the book they follow is full of contradictions, they have done many horrible things in your name, and there is so many different religions it was tough to believe in you. But, I have lived a good life, done well, and tried my hardest to help others, be humble, and love everyone. Please don't sent me to eternal damnation."

Me (playing God): "Good point, welcome to heaven"
Real god: "Too bad, wear sunscreen in hell"

Are you getting why we don't get it yet?

If you believe in the Bible, do you believe the Bible is the LITERAL word of God?

Why or why not?

Many Christians have different views on if the Bible is to be taken literally. (Was Eve really made from a rib, or was it a metaphor? Did Noah really fit 2 of every animal in an ark? Etc.)

I believe that God allowed humanity and angels to rebel from him in order to teach us that if we wish to live happy that we need to listen to God instead of ourselves. I think that in the end, all creation will realize that God is the only rightful ruler of the universe. It is all for his glory.
what are your thoughts?

Why not simply acknowledge that Jesus and Jehovah really are two different spirit beings with near-identical personalities who work well together?

Ps 110:1 The LORD says to my lord: "Sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool"

Luke 20:41-44 David himself says in the Book of Psalms, `The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet.' David thus calls [the Christ] Lord

Acts 7:55,56 [Stephen] gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God

Rom 8:34 Christ Jesus… who is at the right hand of God

Eph 1:20 [God] accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places

Col 3:1 Above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God

Heb 12:2 Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith… is seated at the right hand of the throne of God

1 Pet 3:21,22 Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God

It seems like the Canaanites, Amalekites and Philistines found themselves in bearing the brunt of the punishment during the lessons that Yahweh was trying to teach Israel.

If the Israelites were bad he made them loose a war to Canaan or whoever else and when the Israelites were good again he punished the others for beating Israel in the last war....

Justice anyone?

Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD, so the LORD delivered them into the hands of the Philistines for forty years. Judges 13:1

This takes place right before God uses brother Samson to attack Philistine

I called the library to check out a book written by a scientist who discusses the idea that there is no supernatural god based on science.

There are 8 copies in my county, 6 of those have been “destroyed” or are being “repaired”, and 2 copies have been saved. The librarian said they were having people vandalize these books that were just released to the public 6 months ago!

Are religious people that intolerant that they check out books with atheist views and destroy them?

Seriously, are they afraid religion is threatened by science?

Do you think that porn only effects (and affects) the person that uses it negatively? Or that it's no harm to anyone?

If not...

Can you explain the recent (and extreme) increase in the world of rape and murder, pedophiles, and illegal child pornagraphy?

Do you think it has any relation to religion (specifically, Christianity?)

Did you know that pornography is latin for 'against the will of God'- pornaeo?

Do you think the media indirectly supports it?

Do you find it coincedental that TV shows/movies/video games/entertainment are becoming more and more corrupt and lustful...

Do you think it's OK?

Do you think the morals of our world (America especially) are going down the tubes?

Do you think it's a result of a lack of faith or a desire for 'freedom'?

Freedom is not doing what you want, when you want to.

The Bible does not condemn sex, it says it's a gift from God... for married couples. If God made it, it's designed to be good.

People in the Andes have huge lung capacity.
People in the arctic have much different fat distribution that the ones in Africa who have different shin color than people in Europe, pygmies in the rainforest can not sweat, so on and so forth. All of the examples given are the adaptations people made to live in their environment, thin air, cold, hot, 100% humidity. How did all of this diversity come from two people, ....unless evolution is true for humans.

Why did god make us and then after disobeying him, continued to let us exist. It doesnt make sense to me. At church they always say thank god for letting you live and breath but shouldnt we tell god no thanks since we are born in to such a sinful evil world?
