Again, people believe what they hear on the Internet.

The fact is, the Vatican has works of art that have been donated, or paid for by some benefactor, that are worth millions of dollars. They have buildings that are worth millions. So what is the point?

Are you suggesting that they sell them, and maybe give you some of the money? Who would buy them? Are you in the market for religious sculptures for the 14th century?

The purpose of the buildings and the works of art are to glorify God. To put a price on these objects, and then say: look how rich they are, demonstrates a lack of understanding on their purpose.

Rich dying people then were easily dupe to give up their wealth in favor of the church in exchange for heavenly abode. Old dying people need only thumb mark in lieu of signature in a piece of document.

Tithes and gullibility. With Christianity, you either guilt your way into heaven, repent your way into heaven, or buy your way into heaven.
