I am a muslim, I am not sure that I understood your question clearly, but however, there is something interesting to write about.
In Islam, dogs can not be taken at pets. They are considered as dirty animals, full of viruses. The stunning thing is if you have a dog in your house, angels won't step in. So you choose, a dog or an angel.
You can only have a dog for one of 3 reasons below:
1- You really need a dog for Security or gaurding your property
2- Hunting trips
3- Gaurding cheaps, or keeping wolves away
In contarst, the Arabic culture looks at wolves as strong and clever animals. If you want to complement someone, tell him " hey wolf" . A wolf is really appreciated in our culture

Discrimination: i think the homeland security law requires the search of anyone of middle eastern heritage to be search just based on their appearance, do some research on discrimination and how it effects muslims in america

How about the cultural way that women are treated and the way they are SUPPOSED to be treated because they are muslim? They are treated horribly, but take a look at the information below and you'll see that their culture is really screwed up, hypocritical, and inhumane.
