In almost all elementary schools, children are taught about pilgrims and the Mayflower and all that fun stuff. What they do not tell is the story of the MASS SLAUGHTER, RAPE, AND DESTRUCTION of the Native Americans. They didn't say how

"By conservative estimates, the population of the United states prior to European contact was greater than 12 million. Four centuries later, the count was reduced by 95% to 237,000."

In 1493, when Columbus returned to the Hispaniola, he quickly implemented policies of slavery and mass extermination of the Taino population of the Caribbean. Within three years, five million were dead. Las Casas, the primary historian of the Columbian era, writes of many accounts of the horrors that the Spanish colonists inflicted upon the indigenous population: hanging them en mass, hacking their children into pieces to be used as dog feed, and other horrid cruelties.

When Columbus talked to his sponsers, he claimed that his goal was to spread the "glory" of God.

I don't know much about the Muslim's religion and this might sound silly but I know in Christianity if you commit suicide you won't go to heaven. When the terrorists blow themselves and others up isn't that considered suicide in the same way if they had just shot or hung themselves and will they go to heaven even if they are supposedly doing it for their beliefs?

is not possible for you to see homosexuals as people who live differentely than you do???
is it possible for you to accept differences???

I was thinking today about religion and people and why the big deal, and this is what came to me:

We all have in common a couple things, no matter where we are from.
1. We know we are going to die someday and we spend our whole lives dealing with that whether we take time to conciously think about it or not

2. We have this crazy urge in us to find a truth in life. It goes away once we decide we believe in Yaweh, Allah, Elements, Science, or whatever we decide on.

Once we decide we all feel better. We can go on with our lives and not have that constant nagging for the Truth. We can appreciate our families, friends, activities etc because our mind can focus on them now.

It really feels good to know the Truth. And there's nothing wrong with that in and of itself.

I think the reason we fight about our truths is that some contradict each other. That's why Christians get so vehement, and why Atheists get so vehement back.

I'm not asking for the answer of 'the vikings' as my friends and I agree that ' the vikings' are a race of people and not a religion. I want the religion eg. christians worship jesus and buddists worship budda. What is it?

but christians all tell the jews they are going to be left behind... what happens if all of the jews decide to listen to the christians and convert? then, no rapture? the christians have been sucessfully converting jews for 2000 years ... so whats a few hundred more? and once they're gone, then you don't have the prophecy anymore. isn't that a paradox?

from these two verses:

"The Holy Spirit has brought it down from thy Lord with truth" (16:102).

"Whoever is the enemy of Gabriel, surely he revealed it to thy heart by Allāh's command" (2:97).

Peter when he denied him 3 times. I'm asking this question because I'm kinda worried about myself. I was getting some mentoring from this "Jew for Christ" and he asked me a question. He said: Do you believe alone in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection? I use to believe in faith and works (not anymore) so I answered no. I told him I believed in works also. So he asked me again and I said yes. I'm kinda worried I denied Jesus, and I don't like that. Please help if you are a Christian only. Thank you.

It's not a scam page it's a real business. And it's not mine either.
But the question remains, do you consider this blasphemy? An attack on your religion?

which is strange since Jesus said in quite a few different ways ...

Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Luk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

and then these supposed Christians exacerbate their hypocracy claiming the Old Testament laws no longer apply because Jesus provided a new covenent yet site OT law as justification for their bigotry against gay folks.

if you are gay bashing Christian please explain to me how you are not a hypocrite when you point out the sin of homosexuality while you are filthy with your own sins and why gay folks are under Hebrew law while you are not. thank you.

note... Jesus seemed to have a particular dislike for hypocrites.
