who say that we are afraid of Gay's? They are no worse or better than any other sinner. We are all sinners needing Christ blood to cleanse us. The problem is can someone change their lifestyle?

Who said we're scared of you? I, am neither afraid of you nor do I hate you. As a Christian, and as a person, I can accept you as a person, a human with sins as I also have sins. All sin, and sinners are important, not just homosexuals, it's just the media has played it up a lot lately because of the same sex marriage issue. So it seems, the focus has been on homosexuality a lot. Differences in people are what makes life interesting, keeps it from being boring. Keeps it exciting.

GOD does NOT accept or condone the act of homosexuality so neither do we. GOD nor we Christians hate gay ppl, but we do hate the wrongness of the abomination of that "life style"
If you are so comfortable in it then why do you care if GOD or we Christians are for or against it? No matter how much you argue this we (GOD and Christians) will always be praying against the spirit behind homosexuality.
(Don't you find it strange that gays are the only ppl in the world who want to talk about things that the rest of the world keeps to themselves? I certainly do not feel the need to have the "gay community" agree with or condone my sex life!)
We are not "scared" of gays. Repulsed, yes, scared,NO.

Please don't let what the media hungry "religious" say, apply to all who are christian. Homosexuality itself is not any worse than any other behavior that people partake in. Drinking to excess is far more destructive, and affects many people, not just those who are drinking. If you follow the logic, the true sin is adultery, and fornication. Adultery is having sex with someone outside of your marriage. Fornication is having sex with someone you are not married to. Because homosexual physical relations cannot end in procreation, it cannot be blessed by God, so it cannot be sanctified as marriage, and will always be fornication. But that does not mean just homosexuals commit fornication. Anyone having sex without benefit of marriage is fornicating, and there are plenty of people doing that! You might ask if people who are heterosexual but cannot conceive are therefore fornicators, but the possiblity of conception is there, so no, they are not. I personally don't think of people who live a homosexual life as any different that myself. I am a heterosexual, but I deal with my own failings and troubles as a christian everyday. I would no sooner condemn someone for being gay, than for having any other behavior that puts themselves at risk spiritually. If I steal, or lie, for example, lie about the amount of taxes I owe and therefore steal from the IRS, I have commited just as grievous a sin as someone (regardless of lifestyle choice) who has commited fornication. I really hope you understand, not just that true christians can see past the hype, but that those who focus on one issue, such as homosexuallity, to the exclusion of all else, are not getting the big picture.

So, to answer your questions:

Homosexuality is not a major issue for me.
I do see homosexuals as people who choose to live differently than I do.
I can accept the differences.

Can you accept that just because I am christian, I do not automatically condemn you for your behavior?

Who said that I was scared of you? You're a person just like anyone else. I may think that homosexuality is a sin but so are a lot of things that 'straight' people do. Heck, I sin!

You're my brother and I love you just the same. Sorry if you've gotten another impression from my brothers and sisters in christ.

This question is a perfect distortion of reality. It is Homosexuals who attack Christians: the Boy Scouts they tried to force acceptance of in their organization; they infiltrate into Christian organizations and then try to claim it is their beliefs that lead to abnormal/abusive behavior. Homosexuals are constantly seeking justification for their reprehensible behavior and when they don't get it they try to change the truth. They do that by changing the definition of words like gay and marriage. Saying we are "scared of gays" is another distortion of reality.

no one likes to think they are missing out when they are following The Rules. Example: You pay your taxes and you feel fine about it until you hear your neighbor cheated and got away with it. Does your neighbor's cheating effect you in any real way? No, but you hate him and rat him out because he's getting away with something you aren't. Homosexuality is this great unknowable forbidden fruit, and good Christians hate the fruits getting away with it. Think about that when you read some of these other answers.

Oddly, Christ tells a great parabal about the workers in the vineyard that says just appreciate what you have and don't envy what the master gives others, but I don't think it has been applied to this situation very often.

The Bible says one sin is no greater than another, I pray for you - just as i would myself or anyother person -

The people that are'nt being nice to you - are'nt real christians-
I don't agree with what your doing and i would'nt support you

but i would speak to you in a friendly conversation and treat you like a person- we are all God's children - some choose to obey and some don't-
God bless you and look to the Lord for your love *

Many of those you call Christian have lost touch with Christ.

Christ would love you. He would consider your homosexuality an abomination but you He would love. True Christians will do the same.

But to answer your question, I think many Christians want to focus on the sins of others because they don't really know the One who can set them free from theirs.

1 Cor 5:

9I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. 12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

i am a christian. i am not afraid of gays. the bible teaches to never accept any type of sin, not even homosexuality. but you are right that it is wrong to concentrate only on homosexuality. christians need to concentrate on whatever it is in their own lives that is sin.

The bible actually doesn't say that; the oft-quoted story of Sodom and Gomorrah is really about hospitality if you read it right. But you are right, a lot of times people just pick and choose what they want to believe in. I think that the christians who dislike gays (not all do, after all) do so because they do not want to accept the idea that it is ok to be different and that they can be wrong.
