Peter when he denied him 3 times. I'm asking this question because I'm kinda worried about myself. I was getting some mentoring from this "Jew for Christ" and he asked me a question. He said: Do you believe alone in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection? I use to believe in faith and works (not anymore) so I answered no. I told him I believed in works also. So he asked me again and I said yes. I'm kinda worried I denied Jesus, and I don't like that. Please help if you are a Christian only. Thank you.

Jesus is the one who saves. Look to Him and trust His Word. He said all that needs to be said in the Bible. Yes Peter was forgiven. Remember before this ever happened Jesus told Peter he would be tempted by Satan and that he would deny Him but he also told Him that He would pray for him and so Peter was preserved by Jesus during all this and restored after his fall.

There is no question that Peter dearly loved Jesus. On Nisan 14, the final night of Jesus’ life, Peter told him: “Lord, I am ready to go with you both into prison and into death.” Yet, just a few hours later, Peter three times denied even knowing Jesus! The Bible tells us what happened as Peter uttered his third denial: “The Lord turned and looked upon Peter.” Crushed by the weight of his sin, Peter “went outside and wept bitterly.” When Jesus died later that day, the apostle may well have wondered, ‘Did my Lord forgive me?’—Luke 22:33, 61, 62.

Peter did not have to wait long for an answer. Jesus was resurrected on the morning of Nisan 16, and evidently on that same day, he made a personal visit to Peter. (Luke 24:34; 1 Corinthians 15:4-8) Why did Jesus give such special attention to the apostle who had so vigorously denied Him? Jesus may have wanted to assure the repentant Peter that he was still loved and valued by his Lord. But Jesus did even more to reassure Peter.

Yes, Jesus DID forgive Peter. And Peter became a great apostle for Christ. Don't worry, no matter what you do, as long as you are sorry and come to God for forgiveness, God will always forgive you. He loves you.
The only sin that cannot be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. That is when you reject the Holy Spirit to the point that He decides to give up on drawing you to God and He leaves you. The only reason why this is unforgivable is because no one comes to God without being drawn by the Holy Spirit and if the Holy Spirit is not drawing you, you will never come to God. As long as you are willing to come to God and have Him forgive you, you can always be forgiven.
Jesus loves you. God bless you.

I am confused by your question.

Do you believe in salvation (free gift to all) thru Jesus death, burial, & resurrection?
Or
Do you believe in works alone to get to heaven?

Faith in Christ's gift of salvation, thru his atoning blood on the cross offers us forgiveness for ever, once received.

The Bible states clearly that all manner of sin shall be forgiven men, save only blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. In other words, as it states elsewhere in the Bible, if you have sinned, confess your sin and he will forgive you and restore you to grace.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS. ONCE SAVED ALWAY SAVED AS LONG AS YOU KNOW YOU ARE SAVED. YOUR FAITH WILL BE TESTED MORE AND MORE THE CLOSER YOU GET TO CHRIST. HE KNOWS YOUR HEART AND YOU CANNOT DENY THAT. YOU MUST FORGIVE YOURSELF B4 FORGIVENESS CAN BE GIVEN. WE HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN THE SPIRIT OF FEAR. FAITH IS AN ACTION WORD. IF YOU HAVE FAITH THE IT WILL CAUSE YOU TO ACT. YOUR FAITH MAKES YOU WHOLE NOT YOUR WORKS. EVERYONE THAT DOES GOOD DEEDS ALL THEIR LIVE WON'T GO TO HEAVEN UNLESS THEY AR EBORN AGAIN ACCORDING TO ROMANS 10:9-10. TAY PRAYED UP AND BLESSED.
