Give me three to show he isn't

Don’t need three. Just need one, and it is an example. To that I give you the best example I can think of, the Human Brain.

Studies, like that done by the University of Michigan, and features in the Discovery Channel program, The Amazing Life of the Human Brain, shows just how amazing the human brain is.

Every second while awake, we are absorbing 40MBs of data per second. That’s 144 gigabytes per hour and about 2 terabytes per day. That’s a lot of data even for the largest computer. When we sleep at night, and only at night or under nighttime conditions, all that data is sorted and stored through the creation of synaptic connectors and biochemical bounds. The brain has enough volume to allow for the creation of these storage connectors to last over 10,000 years.

Without the need of a creator, what evolutionary pressure could cause the need for this much volume that would take that long to fill? Clearly, man was either created by God to live that long, or if evolve, once lived that long, and has since de-evolved to what we are today. Which do you think it is?

This is why I believe in God. I use the brain he gave me, and designed for me, to determine something beyond imagining.

I am not of any faith BUT I did hear a very plausible reason from a member of the Catholic church:

God is not a being as such...God is Goodness.....and so that's what is worshipped, goodness, which pretty much makes sense.

If this was preached rather than people (99% (not proven) of the world population) thinking that God is a fella with a beard, or a chinese man, or a woman, or a cat....people would be more understanding of the catholic faith. Of course not all Catholics believe this but I think it is a very nice reason.

I think my one reason beats three hands down.

Have you read the Bible? Or do you not think of that as a credible source?

Could you honestly believe that Earth's being exactly the right distance from the sun is a coincidence, and all life froms here are simply happenstance? Because if the earth was 1/2 a degree in either direction, we'd either be roasting or freezing our butts off!

p.s. God wants faith in Him- believing in something without all the tangible proof u want!

I'll give you three that would...

If revelation in the bible actually told us anything that was not know at the time, such as quantum theory or relativity.

If DNA or anything else actually showed any evidence of design whereas in reality it is for the most part a jumbled mass of mostly junk.

If there was ever a testifiable miracle.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

And to the poster above, clearly not one reputable biologist agrees with you, don't believe what you read from the Discovery Institute.

What is your definition of God that there requires a reason to prove. God as taught by the church, no there is no such thing and that God doesn't exist in this reality. But God as a concept that is bigger then ourselves, easy to prove, the miracle of birth, the nature of our surroundings and thirdly lift your eyes and experience the mystery of the unverse. In all these things there are reasons to lift our spirits and marvel at existence.
