I intentionally posted in this section because I'm curious to know the religious affiliation of those who do own guns for this purpose. So please list that as well.

And feel free to throw in any additional details such as how you made the decision to own a gun if any form of ending a life is against your religion.

I am not asking with a hidden agenda, nor intending to come back and give anyone crap. I'm simply curious.

Thank you!

why do catholics pray to mary when Jesus is the only mediator between God and man? why dont they pray directly to God ( the source of all creation) rather than a woman who was "favoured" that gave birth to our saviour? what exactly does a catholic believe that contradicts the truth of God? what is the difference between a Pentecostal and a Baptist Christian and a Catholic? im not understanding...please make your statements and answers clear, if you can include verses related to this topic, that would b great

I love the Lord however I stuggle with the things listed above,
I constantly surrender these feelings to God but I still wrestle with them from time to time. How does one overcome jealously envy and coveting what others have and how can I be happy and joyful for someone who maybe gets the things that I wanted ?

Assume:

The accounts given about Jesus in the new testament are true.

The Old Testament is the only source available to disprove it.

I constatnly surrender my life to the Lord each day and yet I struggle with the same things over and over even when I sincerely give everything over to the Lord and not hold back. My husband says it is a daily fight to be a Christian, even though we are human what are ways we can grow even when we fail and make mistakes and even do bad things on purpose? How even though one struggles with "the flesh" how can I yeild more to the Spirirt of God?

Are we so delusional with this pay later plan theory? That we live in sin our whole lives here in earth; whether we live to be 120 years old. But then suffer the consequence of sin in Hell's eternal fire. In the end, was all the sex, drugs and rock n' roll worth it?

In 2nd Peter in the Bible it talks about being effective and productive for Christ? What makes a person be this way?

How can I be more like this? How can Christians make thier light shine and be more of an effective witness?

My wife's friend is coming to tea and she is a muslim. I haven't got much money, and all I have left in the fridge is some pork mince. Do you think I could pass the pork mince off as turkey mince, and feed it to this muslim? Do you think she would know?

What do you believe is the purposes of the church? Do you know what Rick Warren's says the purposes are?

I would like to have a scripture reference for each item you list.

Also, where is the scripture that talks about the importance of having sound doctrine? Or holding onto doctrine?

I dreamt that it was bed time and I had fallen asleep with my kids in their berdroom. In the dream electricity went and my son said that he was scared and I told him," okay we will go and stay with daddy until it came back".The entire house was dark but in the room where my husband slept there was a light as though it was from a mobile phone.
I took my kids and was walking along the corridor to the room when I bumped into something. All I could see was its silhouette and it spoke to me saying that I can't go in that room. That is not going to let me go to him.I got scared and in the dream I took a step back and taken a deep breath to scream and kick the thing down. Then I woke up.Scared
I know my husband and I have beeb having a lot of marital problems but this was really scary.Does this have some sort of spiritual meaning?

From what I've read there doesn't seem to be any biblical truth to the rapture but the jury is still out on this one. Please back your position with scripture.

1. is there a website where you can ask questions about God and receive answers like forums besides yahoo answers?

2. are ghosts really demons? it seems most people come by ghosts because a person died in a house or died at a sugar factory or boat and haunt it. so does this mean once you die you can't come back, not even to fix things or make things right like say if you were murdered, maybe ive been watching too many movies. if ghosts are myths, what about angels, or angel of death , or miracle angels, gaurdian angels?

3. my handicapped brother was autistic, fragile x syndrome, and etc. he did not speak, he screamed, but did not speak or understand. he was always throwing balls and rocking back n forth. he passed away last month. when it comes to God , what happened to my brother when he died?

4. is there a certain chapter in the bible that speaks about what happens once we die? do our thoughts really perish? if thats true what about the ones we loved on earth? do we forget them?

I have a friend / business associate who does not stop talking about his religion. I like him and work with him on occasion. I have researched the watchtower society and want nothing to do with that. I have printed information off the internet and gave it to him, pointing out the points that I think prove his religion is something to be avoided. I have told him that I am glad that he is happy with his religion, and I repect that, but that he also has to respect the fact that I am happy with my beliefs.
Honestly, I have tried to be polite and not insult him.
Just today he decided to introduce me to another man who is a jw as well. That man started talking about the same things.
Really, how do I stop this politely? Do I just get rude?
I want to treat everyone with respect, and I feel that I am not getting respect back.
I believe that everyone has the right to their own beliefs.
This situation is very disturbing as I am being witnessed to at work.
Help me out here please.
