This question actually stumps most scientists as well. What you are really asking is what was the first... No matter your religious leanings something had to be first. In the big bang theory all of the universe began in a single pinprick of matter. Okay great, but what created the pinprick and what blew it up.... Faith is the real answer to the question, you either have faith that a higher power exists (whatever you choose to call it/him/her/them) or you don't. There comes a point where if you wish to, you must take a leap of faith that there is a creator and trust. For me the idea that there is not is a very lonely thought. Good luck and keep asking great questions because you never know where they may lead you even if you don't get a true answer.

This depends on if you mean God the Father or God the light of christ which makes God a God. God the father was once a man and was begotten from a virgin just as Jesus was but on another planet with his father being God the Father. This come from the scripture where Jesus says ' I do only what I have SEEN the Father DO.' meaning God the Father showed his son via the Holy Ghost how he was executed for being the savor of his world.
God the light of christ has always been there and is in everything.

The argument will be God is eternal, or God arose from nothing, which can be said about the universe too. That's why trying to say God exists based on the existance of the Universe is pointless. It violates Occams Razor.

Christians will tell you bacteria are too complicated to "just exist", but then tell you two minutes later with a straight face that an infinitely more complicated god "just is". Ah well, Christians are nothing if not illogical hypocrites.

Somewhere in the bible (i forgot where) it says god has no beginning and no end. And its hard for us as humans to understand how he can have no beginning because everything we know of has a beginning. That's what I was taught

God wasn't created, to imply so would mean there is some entity greater than He, and there isn't. God always WAS and He always will Be.
