I agree with you ! and I'm Christian. I know there are Religions that say that, but they are WRONG !
There is no place in the Bible that says anything about Children being sinners. I just think its sad that so many Religions think a child is a sinner. They are born into sin, but have not sinned.
They do however reach the age of accountability, and that age depends on each individual. But its not when they are baby's or toddlers. Its when they are old enough to know when they are doing something wrong, and they know it is really wrong !
Its usually about 11 or 12, but that completely depends on each individual.
Jesus tell us to question the Religions. There are some really bad ones, but likewise there are some good ones too.
I can't blame you for thinking being a Christian is bad if you think that's what they teach. But if you find the Religion that teaches strictly from the Bible then you won't be disappointed.
Don't give up on them altogether sweetie, just make sure you seek out the right Religion that don't teach such ridicules things.
Good Luck and I hope this is the best New Year Ever !

Well, I will try to explain it to you as best as I can in Psalm 51 verse 5 It says "I was born into sin." That mean all of us was born into sin even our sweet little children. If you caught your nephew doing something he had no busy doing and you ask him did you do that and his response is NO he just lied why because he was born into a sinful world. No one taught him how to lie or be disobeiant its human nature. That's why we need God's Holy Spirit to overcome our sinful ways. That's not to say we will be perfect ,but it will sure make us better people. God has so much grace and mercy for us. He knows and understand the world we live in that's why Jesus died on the cross so we can repent and turn from our sinful ways. From the sound of it you don't like Christians and that's fine cuz some of us are'nt living Christ like, but that's when we should pray for one another and not judge one another. I'm sorry I got off the subject, anyway I hope my little 2 cents helped. Have a nice day

Where in the world did you get the idea that Christians believe that children sin? That is a false teaching of the Catholic Church. Has nothing to do with true Christianity.
Let me add one more thought. This false teaching of the Catholic Church has led to other false teaching. One being infant baptism. Logically if an infant is sinful then they must be baptised as an infant or they risk eternal damnation if they die.
If you will look at scripture there is NO EVIDENCE whatsoever of
ANY person being baptised that did not first HEAR the message, BELIEVE the message, REPENT or turn from their sins, and then submit to BAPTISM for the remission of their sins. An infant cannot hear in understanding, nor believe what they cannot understand, nor choose to repent and turn from their sinful ways. There is also no evidence or example whatsoever of anyone other than an adult accepting salvation and being baptised for the remission of sins.
Jesus actually says (to paraphrase) unless you become as a little child you cannot come enter the kingdom of heaven. This makes no sense if a little child is sinful.

I have three children and yes they are sweet and innocent, but have you noticed that jealousy starts with siblings at a very young age?. Where does this come from? Are all children as perfect as your child? What is a tantrum? Is not a rebellious outburst? How do you explain children's behavior in kindergarten when they misbehave towards one another? Each child comes into an age of accountability, a time when they become conscious of a lie or an act of sin. It is our consciousness that reveals to us if we are doing something bad, or the choice that we make is harmful in someway. Maybe your nephew has not made any conscious sins yet but the ability to do it is there already.

I believe there is an age of accountibilty. A three year old is still just a baby. On the other hand..remember the story of the boy ( I think he was 13) who killed that little boy of 5 by bashing his head with a rock? I have to say the 13 year old should be held fully accountible. He was totally old enough to know what he was doing, that he was killing a child. Just because he is still seen as a child himself in some societies, doesn't mean that he was not old enough and mature enough to be held accountible for what he did. IMO it is a heart issue....when a three yr old hits someone, they are just acting out of what they feel, they don't have evil motives, they are just mad and act on it, That is where we as parents teach them self control..consequences..love, etc. Now when a 30 year old man gets mad and hits his wife..he is doing more than acting out like the three year old. The action may seem the same, but the heart is different..the thought process is different, HE is accountable if he is mentally "sane".

That's pretty naive on your part, I also have a three year old and he certainly knows the difference between right and wrong. All sin according to the Bible but there is an age of accoutability a 3 year old has not yet reached.

Actuqally, there is at least one Christian religion that believes as you do that little children and babies are innocent and not capable of committing sin. The teaching that little children are guilty and will go to hell is an abominable and wicked practice and it is untrue.

We are all born of sin and into sin. Children are not held accountable for sin because they are not old enough to be held accountable. They do not know the difference between right and wrong.

If you read the story of Adam and Eve and the story of creation, you will understand that we are all born with the nature of sin. We all have want is called the "me" nature. Everyone wants what they want and to heck with everybody else. From the very moment that we are born, we don't want to share, we take what doesn't belong to us, etc. When we do that, even as small children, that is sin.

You are correct IF sin were an action.
Sin, however, is a state.
We are all born into that state .....or condition.
One may never steal, lie, etc., but that does not make him sinless.
Romans 3:23.
Its like someone being called handicapped because they happen to be missing an arm.
That's the state they find themselves in.
It doesn't make them a terrible person, but they are still handicapped.
