There is no evidence that for the first 300 years after Christ’s death, those claiming to be Christians used the cross in worship. In the fourth century, however, pagan Emperor Constantine became a convert to apostate Christianity and promoted the cross as its symbol. Whatever Constantine’s motives, the cross had nothing to do with Jesus Christ. The cross is, in fact, pagan in origin. The New Catholic Encyclopedia admits: “The cross is found in both pre-Christian and non-Christian cultures.” Various other authorities have linked the cross with nature worship and pagan sex rites

I know like in the old testament it said "an eye for an eye" and was basically FOR capital punishment ...but strictly from after Jesus's crucifixion, what about capital punishment? killing people is still wrong? Does eye for an eye still apply after he died for FORGIVENESS?

I have always seen the number 333 on various things, I was curious to see how many true believers are out there that also see this same number and what does it mean to you? Have you disregarded it as if it was just coincidence or have you ask others as I am now? I always loved the number 33 and always thought it was strange how the digital alarm clock would read 3:33 more times than not but always disregarded it. How many other people have done the same thing?

believe in God and live a quiet life the more stones get thrown at you? How many tests of faith are we going to go through? When is enough enough? Maybe it's better to be an athiest and live carefree without all the worry and depression. And don't tell me to keep praying i've had enough. And to think of all the parties and drugs and sex i am missing out on! I give up!!! It doesn't feel as if God is real. What else can I do????? I've worked hard, I do not feel well, I pay bills, student loans haunting me and they won't work withme, no life, no friends. Thanks a lot God for the wonderful life!

I was devastated when my wife told me that Methusaleh was out. I mean, how much more Biblical do you get than that?

Anyway, it's recently come to my attention that we need to find a good baby name.

Here's my girl name favorites: Madison, Reagan, Sophie, Cheney, Emily.

You'll notice none of those are Biblical (though Reagan obviously should be). Have any good Biblical girl names?

Boys: Michael and David. Please God may you limit the boys we have to two because I can't find any other names for them. I will have to name them Ashley or Megan or something. And nobody wants that!

So, does anyone have a suggestion for girl/boy names, preferably Biblical (though secular is okay, too)?

... why was Judas punished by being cast into hell? Why isn't he Saint Judas up there on the right hand of God himself? Jesus might have lived to a ripe old age and we'd all be unsaved without him.

If you're into that kind of thing.

This is kind of long. What do you think of how the people in Missouri treated the early Mormon Pioneers?

Christians, saying that some magical being just created the universe is WAY harder to believe than evolution. But to the point.....

You believe that God is a very complex God right? Okay, if you do, then you probably also think He is more complex than the universe, so using God to explain the universe is VERY illogical, it just adds more improbable complexity. Christians say that God has always been here. Why not just say the universe has always been here? Mr Christian, "because the universe needs a creator".
Well then, who created God? "god existed forever" Well then if he didn't need a creator, then why not the universe existed forever?

They say they will send you something for free then when you get the letter they ask you to "sow a seed" to receive God's blessings then the letters keep coming and keep asking to "sow a seed". Any body heard about them? Do you trust them? do you think they have the Spirit of God for real? because all they do is asking for money by telling you to "sow a seed". I remeber the name of one of them: Bob tilto. i 4get the name of the other one

If you only had, say $75 to spend on books to fill out your collection, then what would you buy? My collection is ever growing, but I'm curious to see what others wouldn't live without. Keep it within the budget too. I want some good answers, none of that "god hates the occult" and "Wiccans are being mislead by the Devil" type stuff, OK?
