No. It's a month's worth of Gerber's Baby Apricots that has amassed into a gooey, jello-like material that is stuck to her cheeks. I'm told it goes away at 18 months. I'm still waiting.

a baby is so soft because the harsh air has not touched it and they are so senitive to the air that it hurts them when they take their first breath and they smell so wonderfull that you just want to hold them. the cheeks hold a lot of blood in them
