Pack up your old Kit Bag?...an AP poll on what Americans think will happen in 2007 indicates that 25 percent anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ THIS YEAR.
If you agree, what is your prognostication based on?
Sorry if the complexity of this question does not make sense to some readers.
Incidentally, the meaning of prognostication is easily looked up on Dictionary.com

I ask this because I get "looked down upon and also people are confused and curious of this" because I dont like people just for what they claim to be but for who they are in the inside and I personally beleive I do not know this until I meet the person and know them for some time.

The sins I break are worry, lust, adultery, murder, these are the main ones. I know that I'm never going to be perfect, it's not possible. But If God doesn't see that I'm making an effort to quit, will I go to hell If I don't change the rest of my life?

I work with a lot of very negative people, which in turn has turned me down that spiral. I am finding it very hard to stay positive and like my job. I used to love my job. I am a very spiritual person and they seem to down grade anyone they perceive to be spiritual as a holy roller so I have become very good at hiding this fact about myself. I feel ashamed. Also, they are very two faced so I tend to hide in my room-office alot and keep to myself, but still it seems to follow me home. Are their any suggestions on how to deal at work. And before you you say just go and get another job, jobs are short where I live and it is not so easy. But I will try, I need to learn how to cope for now.

Jesus was way cool
Everybody liked Jesus
Everybody wanted to hang out with him
Anything he wanted to do, he did
He turned water into wine
And if he wanted to
He could have turned wheat into marijuana
Or sugar into cocaine
Or vitamin pills into amphetamines

He walked on the water
And swam on the land
He would tell these stories
And people would listen
He was really cool

If you were blind or lame
You just went to Jesus
And he would put his hands on you
And you would be healed
That's so cool

He could've played guitar better than Hendrix
He could've told the future
He could've baked the most delicious cake in the world
He could've scored more goals than Wayne Gretzky
He could've danced better than Barishnikov
Jesus could have been funnier than any comedian you can think of
Jesus was way cool

He told people to eat his body and drink his blood
That's so cool
Jesus was so cool
But then some people got jealous of how cool he was
So they killed him
But then he rose from the dead
He rose from the dead, danced around
Then went up to heaven
I mean, that's so cool
Jesus was way cool

No wonder there are so many Christians

From the question i have posted earlier, i have found all saying that the bible we read was NOT written by Jesus but by others after his death. How can this show the truth then? I have always considered the bible to be gods word revealed to jesus but i am now confused. I generally thought that the bible was given directly to jesus but the text we read today has no chapter from jesus. By having a chapter from jesus, would this not answer our critics and all the inconsistencies i am stumbling across and others claim.

I am curious about what different religions teach about respecting the religious beliefs of those outside of their faith. It would be helpful to me to, if you could/would supply refrences.

Thank you for your time in answering this question.
