1 John 1
1 We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning,[a] whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. 2 This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.[b]

The Bible is a collection of writtings by people who were inspired and lead by the Holy Spirit. The Old Testament are the scriptures the Jews believe, and still believe, all pointing to the coming of the Messiah. The New Testament are scriptures from the apostles who were with Jesus, describing His life (The first 4 books, the "Gospels") and the remainder are letters from other apostles and disciples. They tell of Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah. It is God's word, which is revealed to US, every individual, by His Holy Spirit.
Christians are simply people who believe that Jesus is the Messiah, our Savior. They are followers of Jesus Christ... not only the person, but the fact that they have been saved by their faith in Him. They believe He is who He said He was, and that He did what He said He would do. They know this is a fact by the same Holy Spirit that inspired those people to write those books we call the Bible. That Spirit lives within them, and proves to them that the scriptures ARE true, That Jesus IS the way, and that our life is now identified in Him.
People who are not saved see the Bible as just a storybook, full of contridictions, mostly untrue and without merit. They look at it, and those who believe in it, as just foolishness. Even if there was a book written by Jesus in it, they would still dispute it. Even the Bible says people would stumble over it. (1 Peter 2:4-10) God DID write something for them, they had problems accepting it (the 10 commandments, written on tablets of stone).
The Word of God, the Holy Bible, must be Spiritual discerned to be understood, for it was Spiritually written. That is why, regardless of the various translations and interpetations man has written, the truth of the word still sets men free. It's amazing how God uses His word to instruct us. Several times, a scripture that I have read hundreds of times, suddenly takes on new insight and meaning by revelation of the Spirit. John says that Jesus is the word, and most Christians will agree that by the word, we recieve the bread of life.

Christians have claimed for centuries that what the bible and other religious teachings tell us is 'the word of god'. However, these teachings included the fact that the sun revolved around the earth which was proved wrong in the 16th century and also that the world was only 6,000 years old and had been created exactly as described in Genesis (with Adam and Eve living in sin in the Garden of Eden, etc). This, as unbelievable as it may sound, was only finally dismissed as rubbish in the 19th century when Darwin released his book 'The Origin of Species' which shows that we have actually all evolved over billions of years.
If ever you needed proof of just how ridiculous religions are then surely this is it. How can the 'word of god' be so completely wrong as the examples highlighted above demonstrate. Surely if there was a god he would have known that the sun did not revolve around the earth.
If you want to be educated with the truth then read Richard Dawkin's excellent book The God Delusion. It is for the 21st century what the bible was to the dark ages.

>>>From the question i have posted earlier, i have found all saying that the bible we read was NOT written by Jesus but by others after his death. How can this show the truth then?>>>
Because this is the way things were done 2,000 years ago. Teachers spoke and taught orally -- and their students/disciples wrote them down.
In Jesus' case, not all of His disciples wrote things down -- because most of these men were regular working guys, tradesmen who may not have been all that good at writing.
A few of them were good at it, though, and these were the men who gave us the Gospels.
The New Testament was not revealed to Jesus. It was revealed in part by Jesus through His teachings that ended up in the Gospels.

The Bible isn't an instruction manual for a washing machine and never was meant as anything else than a good read. The writers of the Bible were merely converting the stories they had heard told by people who had heard stories they had been told by people that lived in the time of Jesus. It is not surprising that some of the "facts" don't measure up to our "modern" ways of thinking. In just the same way that you have faith that the sun will come up tomorrow morning you have to have faith that the basic story of the Bible is true. As an exercise in testing the passed-on style of story telling try this. At one end of a row of 10 or 12 people whisper a message and ask them to pass it on to their neighbour. Go and stand by the last person in the line and listen to his version of the message. Is it the same or completely different?

All that Jesus said and done was recorded, he came to show us the way to God. This was done by action and word. Many at the time did not understand his meaning, it was the Resurrection and the event at Pentecost that really opened their eyes. Christ's plan is ongoing until he returns. That's in there too, although it has not as yet come to pass. The Church has protected the Word of God down through the centuries. As St. John says, it is written that we may believe that Jesus is the Word of God, and is God, and leads us to Eternal Life. Does it work for you?

Jesus only had a short time of the earth so his time had to be spent on teaching his apostles his teachings so they can write the passages and letters that was made into a bible.
(2 Timothy 3:16) - All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Jesus' job was not to write a chapter or book, but to present the truth of Gods love for His creation. The bible is written by men inspired by the HolySpirit and is the historical record of Gods plan for humanity....the recorded words of Christ and for this revelation....He is the only way to the Father in Heaven....Follow Him and walk in truth..†

If Jesus did write the bible that won't change these other peoples Ideals, The Bible was written by man as GOD gave them unction, or revelation to write about it, That applies both with the OT & NT, It was written by Holy man of God as God gave it to them & they were led to write. There is really only 2 things that God Or Jesus wrote God wrote the 10 commandments with his own finger, & jesus wrote in the sand when that woman was brought unto him that was found in aldultry. But The Bible was written by Holy man Of God as God lead them to write.

I believe that the disciples written the books in the Bible along with the prophets who knew what God did in their lives and what Jesus did in their lives.

James 4 is about the internal conflicts of a man. 1 Cor 5 is about conflicts among church members. 1) Read some good translation. 2) Buy a new pair of spectacles 3) Improve reading skills .
